Rated 5 out of 5 by Tristan B from Great trail runner and all around shoe I’ll be honest, I grabbed a pair of the all white ones and wanted to hate them because they looked like old man shoes. But I fell in love with them after a few days. I have slightly wide feet and these fit perfectly. The shoes grip well in snow, mud, wet rocks, dirt ect. I’ve used them for everything like mountain biking, trail running, backpacking, hiking, 3rd class scrambles, and packrafting. They can hang with everything but excel for long trail runs or all day hikes. The boa wheels are great for fast adjustments and quick on and offs. The shoe loosens up a little bit after an hour or so of use but it’s the shoe settling in and not the boa slipping. When putting the shoe on you have to pull the bottom tight as you would a shoe lace and then tighten or else it will feel too tight on the top of your foot. My first time I wore them I had some heel lift but it was just from not adjusting it right. I usually stay away from BOAs because I had a problem with them on my snowboard boots several years ago when they first came out and were a hassle to get replaced, but Adidas really stands behind their stuff and I didn’t have to worry about dealing with a replacement if it broke.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MartinT from solid bigger-mileage shoe I now have about 100 miles on these and am overall very happy with them. There is a generous amount of foam in the midsole that makes for a very cushy/stable ride. The Continental outsole is rock-solid, as usual. The BOA closure sure is cool and quick, but takes some getting used to as it's easy to over-tighten (ended up with bruises on the top of my feet after one race where I was feeling anxious about nimble foot placement and really cranked them down). Only negative issue which is the flipside to those previous mentioned positives is I find the shoe to be very high-volume for me (I have low-volume feet). This is not an issue I've ever had with Adidas and not a deal-breaker but makes them not quite perfect and I'd think twice about using them for longer trail races. Sizing down isnt an option as the length is perfect. Maybe it's due to the design around the BOA or maybe due to the ultra-leaning cushion? That said, I love this shoe for weekend long runs at a mellow pace!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Posteypost from Love the wider fit For years adidas trail shoes have had a super narrow fit and I've loved the traction but the not fit. This is BY FAR the best trail shoe they've put out in a long time and I'm glad I took a shot on it. The midsole is pretty light too compared to some of their other models. I actually think the white color is kind of cool - they were brown after one run but I guess that's part of the fun of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nate_Outdoors from So comfortable and easy to slip on/off I wish ALL my shoes had the Boa system, it's so nice to get my shoes on & off so quickly. I don't use these just for trail running, but literally every day activities too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by djoshshelton from Maybe one day, but not this model I run about 50-70 miles a week. Buffed-out, mellow trails during the week and technical mountain runs on the weekend. I have medium-to-low volume feet. 6'5", 180 lbs. Scorpio. I rotate between three different shoes right now. These aren't one of them. Two major deal-breakers prevent them from making the rotation. First: I can manage about two miles before the BOA system creates a tender spot on the top of my foot. And that's with moderate tension, which isn't tight enough because of the second issue: The upper simply has too much volume. These are a solid size and a half larger than my other similarly-sized shoes. Even after returning my first pair for a smaller size, my foot slides around. Not a serious problem if you keep the shoes on the equivalent of a gravel sidewalk, but even with extra thick socks on top of a moderately-thick liner, my feet repeatedly got destroyed on technical trails. The upper is simply too baggy and the tongue too thin for the pressure applied by the BOA system. Here's what I like: 1. The traction is great on rocky, technical trails. Up there with the Evo Mafate and the Speedgoat, better than the Lone Peak and the Caldera. 2. Factoring out the MC-Hammer-pants airiness of the upper, the shoe really is quite responsive. Curse that baggy upper. 3. The BOA system. Yes, it's probably the worst thing about the shoe. It's also one of the best. As uncomfortable as it is when cranked down, it's that convenient. One day they'll release a model with a lower-volume upper, a padded tongue, and more strategically placed lacing points. That's the model you should buy. But this one ain't that. Much to my dismay.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Roles from Worst shoe I have ever ordered I bought these very excited by the look and to try Adidas shoes for the first time. I wanted to use these as an outdoor running shoe which I normally run 3 miles each day. Day one I used them I ended up getting 4 blisters (two on each foot) in under 1 mile. Also the shoe tongue rubbed my ankle (left side) so bad it was bleeding. It's been over 4 weeks now and my ankle is still healing hopefully not scared. My blisters healed about a week ago and I'm just now able to get back on the trails. I never write review but these are so bad that I had to. Tried to return them but the customer service was very unhelpful in sending me a return label. To the trash the shoes went and I don't plan to buy from this manufacturer again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by smo7e from Great shoe! I purchased these shoes about a month ago. They are very comfortable and provide necessary support. I found they run a little big. I typically wear a men's 10.5. But I found this size a little large and feel a 10 would have fit better. I was hoping to send the 10.5's back but had difficulty confirming I could do a straight exchange.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Alan from Super comfy, well ventilated and true to size! I just went for a long walk to break these in before running in them. They are really great so far. The boa keeps the shoe snug without constant adjustment, the toe box is nice and roomy and the Continental rubber sole is good and grippy.
