Rated 5 out of 5 by Meerkat21 from Great Shoes for Wet Weather But Be Aware of Sizing I decided to buy these shoes for our Vietnam trip, and I'm so glad that I did. We have encountered quite a but of rain while traveling and these shoes have kept my feet dry. I had to send back the first pair I ordered because they were too big. I normally wear a Women's size 10 in Nike and regular Adidas shoes, but a size 9 fits me perfectly. Also, for added support, I replaced the inserts with more comfortable insoles for added support for walking. Recommended for travel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pink_Girl from LOVE MY SHOES! I love these shoes! I have 5 pairs of the Terrex Swift GTX Shoes! These R2's in particular are great! I am a disc golfer but also a hiker, and these shoes are the best! They are durable, light, and most importantly water proof! Some of these pictures don't do justice to the beautiful color you will see when you first open the box! They are very fashionable as well, and would recommend them to anyone who loves the outdoors!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Scratch from Sturdy for Hiking Roomy toe area & enough stiffness for rough terrain. Some reviewers didn’t like that feature & probably prefer more of a flexible tennis shoe type. The stiffness in a hiking shoe offers better support, however. This is my 4th order of Adidas & I found it difficult to get the sizing right. They vary from a mid-high Terrex to low top Terrex quite a bit & the Adidas Free Hiker is pretty roomy. I need some stiffness with a good gripping type sole for rough terrain in Nevada. Adidas needs to add more cushion to their Terrex G2 to give the hiker a bit more softness, but nothing like the Hoka shoes. Hope this helps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DawnW27 from Love the shoes! I bought these for playing disc golf and they have not disappointed. They have great traction so I haven’t slid down any hills. LOVE the waterproof fabric. Went to Idlewild recently and watched the pros in the rain and my feet didn’t get wet at all! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I wish it had a little more cushion on the inside. I had to buy inserts for them so the bottoms of my feet don’t hurt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Becca from Great shoes, super waterproof, need to break in I have the mid rise version of these shoes and love them, and the shoe version is great too! They are super waterproof, which is great for hiking in the Northwest. Pretty stiff so they're nice and supportive (I have high arches so this is great) but that means they also have a break-in period. It was a few weeks before they were comfy on longer treks. The speed lace system works well, but the laces are super long and dangle down well past the lace bungee - I think I can shorten them pretty easily though. My mid's have been taking a beating for a year now and still feel great and I'm hoping the same for these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Linda Loo from Rugged but flexible enough for everyday. I am on my fifth pair of Terrex Swift GTX shoes. I absolutely live in them. I currently have a bout of Plantar Fasciitis and these are the only shoes that I wear (with a sturdy insert). I ahve two pair going at any one time and replace the older pair each year. They are great for indoor because, even though the are sturdy, they are flexible and breathable. AND, I can chase my puppy through the creek and my feet stay dry!

Rated 5 out of 5 by King924 from LOVE!! These are the new version of the old 5-10 I wore through two pairs of the old 5-10s before I heard that Adidas acquired the brand and put it at the top of their women’s line up. First thing to know — size up 1/2 size if you were good with the original version. I love these shoes. They took me to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back out, on foot. The heel support is something like an exoskeleton that, for me, translates to ankle tendon and knee support. Super roomy toe box and good arch support. Aggressive sticky sole that is fab on rocky skree terrain. I’m a little unsure about the new fangled lacing...and I have a mild nit about the tongue not having a gusset. I would pay more for a tongue that stays put. So are you listening Adidas? Gusset tongue please. But so far so good! GET THESE. You won’t be disappointed.
