Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing shoes! I've only worn these a handful of times but so far they are fantastic. I'm a climber/hiker and bought these shoes for approaches. Before owning these I had the 5.10 Guide Tennies. The Guide Tennies were still and uncomfortable but super sticky. These Terrez Solos are even stickier and climb even better. I was trad climbing 5.8's in these things and they climbed super well. Flexible, lightweight, great edging, and super sticky. Not to mention stylish! Love these things!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shoes for scrambling! These shoes are actually really comfy and breathe rather well. They run a bit narrow though.. I would probably not recommend to people with wide feet. While this shoe is great for scrambling and 4th class approaches due to its really good rubber, I don't think it is a shoe to climb easy climbs in. The sole is not stiff enough for actual rock climbing.. Though it hasn't stopped me from climbing up to 5.9 with them, a stiffer sole would definitely make it a much better approach shoe. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a lightweight scrambling shoe for long approaches to the crag (with narrow feet).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Shoe; From Mountain to City Bought this shoe a month ago and I hiked in Holcomb, CA and San Jacinto, CA. This shoe was perfect, very breathable, very sticky rubber, and comfy. This shoe was everything I needed in a good hiking/approach shoe. After about 20+ miles hiking and climbing in these shoes, my feet DID NOT HURT. I had no problem wearing these shoes on all day. These shoes are also great to wear around the city. They don't scream "hiking shoes," and they're pretty light weight, which I love. Because, I can repurpose them for hiking outdoor, or walking around in the city.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor durability These shoes are comfortable only for narrow foot and short treks. Black rubber protection is a bit too small and compartment inside is low and my toe touches the rubber guard, not so comfortable during long treks. The sole has quite good grip, although not outstanding. However, the biggest problem of these shoes is durability. After one year of wearing in the city and only a few treks the sole came out in several places! Warranty was not accepted without justification. I really do not recommend these shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchased these to start out the summer season in Zion National Park. I wore them for one afternoon before heading down for 3 days and there was a gentle break in and away I went. I thought the Stealth rubber was grippy and made maneuvering the sandstone much nicer than I was used to. Hiked 25 miles in 3 days and had no feet issues and my feet remained happy the entire trip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Shoe I wear an 11 in the Terrex Agravic and an 11 in this shoe works well. It is narrower than other shoes I own, but that's to be expected with Adidas. The sole has some great grip, especially when navigating rocky terrain. I recently took these on a trip to the Galapagos Islands, and these were my go to shoe every day. They performed well on wet rock, dry rock, boulders, sand, etc. As far as an approach shoe, they're not the stickiest, but for me they are by far the most comfortable for walking in as they feel more like a light hiker, and less like a full rock climbing shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keep making these shoes! I bought my Terrex Solos at the end of July 2016, am now buying my second pair, and thought I would leave a review! I bought these right before a two month trip to Yosemite. I’d never been to Tuolumne before, and quickly realized that having approach shoes are KEY. The descents off many formations are steep, and sticky shoes are important; I was really happy to have the same rubber that’s on my climbing shoes on the toes of my approach shoes. Also nice was how comfortable they are to hike and solo in! I did many laps on Tenaya with these on, and felt comfortable on slab and jamming these in cracks. I knew that I would kill these shoes a bit sooner shoving them into granite cracks, but the breathability was more important than full-leather approach shoes. Especially for days that I took hikes out to Matthes Crest and Cathedral Peak. After a month in Tuolumne, I went down to the Valley. I used these less down there, but took them up my first walls! I found them comfortable on my two trips up and down Leaning Tower. I was happy to have shoes that I could jump out of my aiders with and make a few free moves. They’re not stiff soled, but I found them to work well for me, as I wasn’t doing some long nail-ups. Descents with a haul bag on was nice to do when I knew I could rely on my shoes to stick! I wore these shoes for nearly every day of my two month trip, and beat them up good! Since that trip, I’ve used these shoes mainly for aid. The Nose in three days, Moonlight in a day, Zenyatta Entrada in a day; these shoes have been great for their light weight, flexibility, ability to jam, and sticky toes. I’ve slowly worn through the toes, and have trashed the uppers. The lace straps are starting to blow out, the toe cap has pulled away from the upper, and I’ve worn holes on the sides where I’m jamming and scumming. I’m happy with what I got out of them in the time I’ve had them, and feel like they’ve held up well with all the use and abuse I’ve put into them; I’m especially surprised I didn’t destroy the uppers sooner. My final thoughts are: these shoes are great for climbing, aiding, approaching, and descending. I gladly traded off a longer life for flexibility and breathability, and couldn’t be happier. I have narrow feet, and hope that Adidas keeps making these shoes the way they made my first pair back in 2016 :D

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A mixed bag I was really excited to get these shoes. I had owned and loved the previous version of the SOLO and had high hopes for this update. The sole is better than the previous iteration as well as the weight and breathability. However, I'm really disappointed in the tongue. The previous model worked perfectly but this new version's tongue constantly slips off to the outside so far that it exposes the top of my foot. I'm not sure why and I've tried changing the way I tie the shoe and situate the tongue but nothing helps. It really bugs me and distracts from what I view as an otherwise great every-day shoe.
