TERREX HYDRO_LACE MEN'S WATER SHOE is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall the best canyoning shoe around. probably the best shoe for canyoning currently. The bestard canyon guides are a close second. The bestards feel lighter and are very durable but the grip is a hair worse, especially in mud and snow its noticeable. montbell sawer climbers are good too, the grip is also a hair worse but drainage is about as good as it gets, long term durability is also a concern (they are crazy light).. the adidas basically dont really drain (heavier but warmer) also the ankle support is great for those expedition size loads. removing them after a long day is effortless (not a big deal really but the only canyon shoe I can easily remove with one hand.) overall for the majority of situations I prefer the hydro laces.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sizing seems large, buy 1 size smaller On my last canyoneering trip my 5.10 Canyoneers died. I've got several friends wearing these and they like them so I though I would give them a try. They only come in whole shoe sizes (8, 9, 10). For all of my adult life I've worn size 9 shoes, but with canyoneering I either wear two pair of wool socks or 5-mil neoprene, so I need extra room and typically want a half size bigger. Hence I wanted to buy 9.5, but settled on size 9 in my online order. When they arrive my foot was swimming, by a lot. I checked inside the shoe and yes they are size 9 US. Two months prior I purchased Terrex AX2R Hiking Shoe size 9 and they fit nicely. So I pulled the insoles out of both of them and the Hydro_Lace was bigger, by about 1 shoe size. So with more money than brains I placed a 2nd ordered for size 8, and when they arrived they fit correctly for me. I'm including a photo I took that helps show what I experienced, it was taken on a tile floor to show accuracy / squareness of the setup, camera angle is distorting things a little on the squareness, but I spent a lot of time making sure it was as accurate as possible, hence why you see tape measurers. From top skinny tape measure to bottom fat tape measure is: HydroLace size 9, HydroLace size 8, AX2R size 9, Superfeet size 9. Conclusion #1: the HydroLace size 8 matches other two size 9s. Conclusion #2: HydroLace sizing is large by one shoe size, ie to get 9s you buy 8s, to get size 12s you buy 11s. Haven't tried them in a canyon yet as it's winter here in Salt Lake. But I have worn them around the yard and my size 8s feel good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’m in love! These are the best option I have found for caving! I’ve been through several pairs of inferior shoes and always discovered a major problem with them early on. My jungle boots fell apart in the acidic cave water, Wellies have no traction are quite inflexible for difficult caving and rubber work boots do not come in small enough sizes for me and are just not as nice. I love the lace system and the neoprene sock, these boots are insanely comfortable and they are holding up great! I’ve worn them in 9 caves so far and I’m about to do a month of caving in them in Mexico, they are the only pair of shoes I brought. They are comfy enough to hike in and super warm wet or dry. For the first time, I can cave without thinking about the state of my feet. I love these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best canyoneering boot and it's not even close Whether hiking the Narrows or swimming through Imlay, this is the boot that you want on your feet. All day comfort with the benefit of Stealth Rubber which is hands down the stickiest stuff out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic durability, support, and comfort! I bought these to use in the Las Vegas Challenge, a 4-day A-tier PDGA disc golf tournament celebrating its 20th year. We got hit with some crazy weather ie. Snow, rain, sleet, wind and my worse fear is playing in wet shoes, which makes for a horrible experience. The Terrex HydroLace Water Sports Shoe exceeded my expectations and kept my feet protected from all the elements, with amazing grip and reliable comfort! Thank you for such a well built shoe and I look forward to continuing my footwear journey with you! Brett

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Grip! Time will tell about durability but everything about this shoe is great. The grip from the Stealth rubber is awesome, and love the sole pattern. It's got a bit of both worlds, descent lugs for rougher terrain, and smoother pattern for maximum rubber contact with rock. I still wear neoprene socks with these, so not sure about their warmth on their own.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fit very long and very narrow I wear size 12 most things. In these, my feet were swimming front to back, but squished on the sides. Inside felt nicely shaped and would probably fit narrow-footed people well if you order down a size or wear extremely thick booties/socks. These were at least a half-inch longer than my Zamberlan hiking boots of the same size. I had to return and won't be ordering unless they make them in a wider fit (since they don't even have most normal sizes, I doubt this will happen).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Boot I bought these boots about 3 weeks ago and I have enjoyed wearing them. They do fit big for their labeled size. I almost considered going a full size smaller. The boot grips nicely and they feel tough.
