Rated 4 out of 5 by Cocktailrog from Great shoe/boot needs some redesign Out of the box I put these on and hit 12 miles of the Appalachian trail in Connecticut. Very comfortable in the toe box, excellent grip and light on the foot. My main concern is that there is no cushion or padding to protect your ankle. I don’t mean against rolling the ankle but the sock upper has no protection from the laces. You feel the laces strangling your ankle, especially when going down a mountain. If there was a boost pad or sometime of foamposite wrap sewn into the sock structure it would help a lot a make this a legit trail ready boot. Until this is redesigned it’s just a light hiker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Johnny B from Comfortable and Supportive I’m loving the Free Hiker Parley. I was worried that the ankle strap/sleeve would rub on my ankle bones (like other high top hikers have), but after putting in 25+ miles on them, they are great. They are also cushioned along with great traction on rocks and loose dirt. I would definitely go down a 1/2 size. Normally I wear an 11, but after reading other reviews, I went with a 10.5 and it’s a perfect fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hercegovac from Perfect boot! Needed a hiking boot that wasn’t going to be too stiff since I like to sometimes run on my hikes. This shoe is a perfect mix of comfort and stability. It does run a half size big so choose a half-size smaller than what you normally would wear. Overall fantastic shoe for hiking I will definitely be purchasing again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by BMinkel from Lightweight Good cushioning and lightweight, I wish they were available in a sz 12.5. If the toe bed breaks in like I hope, these will be my go to hiking shoe for the next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mackay from Great in every way Wore ‘em around town to get a feel for them before hiking. They feel really good out and about, and on the trail they are great. Most comfortable hiking shoe I’ve ever used. As far as vanity goes, these are the best looking hiking shoes I’ve seen, and currently in my favorites of all my sneakers. Get these!! Also, they run a half size large. I ordered a 10.5 which is my steady in adidas and Nike, and I ordered a 10 afterward to compare, and it fits perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MaxPal10 from fantastic hiking shoe took these for a spin up the highest mountain in Massachusetts this weekend and could have been more impressed. Grip was fantastic, not once was i concerned about slipping out. The comfort is awesome. My only issue is that the shoe does not provide stiff ankle support. Going down the mountain my foot was slipping over the sole. Just need to make sure you tie them tight. Do not stop making these cause i will keep buying!!
