TERREX FREE HIKER GTX MEN'S HIKING BOOT is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hiking boot I have ever owned After visiting with friends who work at Adidas I was excited to try out this boot and I am very glad I did. This is arguably the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. These shoes provided the ankle support and stability, that I typically look for in a hiking shoe, without compromising on comfort or weight. They have performed well both on steep uphills and downhills, jogging sections, and in variable terrain. I haven't had much chance to test the gortex but in the few muddy situations they have seemed to do the trick and stay dry. These honestly have moved past just being a hiking boot into being a shoe I happily wear both in the office and on the trail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Didn’t think the TerrexFreeHiker could be improved and then they added Gore-Tex! You can read my glowing review on the non-GTX version on that page. I have bad ankles and two rebuilt Achille’s tendons. These give great padding and support to my fragile feet. I love them!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great fit and comfort, but poor waterproofing The shoes themselves are very comfortable and stylish. They are functional in most ways except for the waterproofing. I have many Gore-tex items and these perform nothing like anything else I currently own or have in the past. I have had these shoes maybe a month now and I’m kind of bummed they aren’t performing as they should, especially considering the price. They’ve never been fully submerged in water, just rain or splashing from work equipment. Most days I am coming home with wet socks and toes. Which is unfortunate when coming from a pair of North Face GTX boots that were half the price and lasted well over a year of heavy use. While still being more waterproof than these. I do think these are great for comfort and I love boost shoes. I just think that they need a lot of work in the waterproof department. Therefore I cannot give more than 2 stars considering how these are advertised.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light, comfy and bouncy I just received these goretex mid-height hiking sneaker/boot and so far so good! I like the stretchy sock-like fit, lightweight feel, grippy sole, and good looks. My plan is to use these as daily drivers through the cold Vermont winter and for cold weather hikes/runs in the mountains during winter and the shoulder seasons. My only criticism is that they are more on the narrow to standard width, which is snug for my wide forefoot. I look forward to updating this review in the spring.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great! But the size was off. Ran way too big. Just about a size off. I wear a 9.5 and I even held it up to my other shoes and it was close to a size off. I returned it but I’m planning to buy it again in a smaller size since they don’t do exchanges. Looks great. Love the boost feel to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Grip I use these for wet conditions on slippery rock surfaces and they did much better then my rubber boots. I have a very wide foot and at first I was not sure if they could work but they broke in nicely. I like the foot bed because it gives me a slight boots in my step. I

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second pair, just as great as the first! My son and I have both started wearing the Terrex boots and they are super comfortable. Adidas are usually just a little too narrow for me, but these fit perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean and comfortable I bought this shoe to have a simple and tech hiking shoe. Everythingniblike Adidas soccer boots for are the same with the Free Hiker. Good fit, responsive and control while moving. The knit upper is a good feel as well. The boot does well on loose terrain, stream beds, wet rocks, mud and walking around town during bad weather.
