Rated 5 out of 5 by Mikey_knows from Waterproof AND breathable, easier said than done! Gore-tex keeps you dry and the surround tech keeps you cool! Waterproof layers can be notorious for overheating, especially in footware. Luckily the surround tech vents out all the hot air and moisture that can get trapped between the bottom of your foot and the top of the outsole. Problem solved! The mid-top upper layer is suple and super comfy. It provides good stability and warmth even with low top socks. Speedlaces are quick and easy to use. One of the upper loops allows the laces to come off the loop, which is meant to help you put on or remove the shoe. I had some issues with this catching on the bottom of my pants. Continental rubber is bomber as always. A+ traction and the shoe has good overall lockdown to prevent side to side and fore/aft movementsl. Felt locked in both walking and running. Overall a great lightweight hiking or trailrunning shoe. I can use them majority of the time hiking around the PNW where its always wet and muddy. Definitely recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wildalaska from Great Looks This shoe is a great looking boot. I also love that its waterproof! The first thing you will notice is that this is a lightweight boot. Its got a great toebox (and I generally have a wide foot). I went on a 10 mile ascent of Mt. Morgan and didn't have a single blister afterwards. One thing to note is that the material that the is just above the rubber sole of the shoe didn't fare quite well against scree and tallus. That light grey portion looks torn up now because of all the scratching. that being said, the shoe is still waterproof and is fully intact (its simply takes away from the visual appeal). All in all, I would recommend this as a great overnight backpacking boot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Justin26 from No kidding. They're WaterPROOF Just got these and decided a trial by fire was in order. I went hiking up and down Vermont all weekend and hit a lot of different trails and different conditions. These shoes are awesome. They felt a little stiff at first, but after a quick break in, maybe 5 miles of light walking, they loosened up really nicely and got super comfortable. The midsole is very supportive and offers a solid base for light jogging and the continental sole offers incredible grip. But the highlight of the shoe is the GORETEX. I was walking through a river in water just under the ankle and my feet were completely dry. I was amazed. I knew GTX was good but I had never fully submersed my feet before and been completely dry before. I absolutely freaking love these things and could not recommend them more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jackson from Extremely Impressed These shoes have a sleek athletic look to them unlike general hiking shoes that are chunky and drab. As far as performance, I could not have asked for anything more from these shoes. They kept my foot bone dry through creeks, they were breathable, durable, and surprisingly lightweight! Nothing but praise and would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JeffO from Great Lightweight Hiker I wasted no time in breaking in these hikers camping last weekend. After wearing them all three days in wet and dry conditions while hiking, walking and climbing, I am pleased to report these are simply the most comfortable hiking shoes I have ever worn. They aren't as "rugged" looking as a Keen but for me, they don't need to be. They are light, waterproof, have grippy soles and were immediately comfortable and supportive right out of the box. The only minor complaint for me was the lacing system and that is only because I am not used to it. I am sure after using it for a few more times, I will master it and be able to tighten the shoes up quickly. They fit true to size for me and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a lightweight and non-bulky waterproof hiker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ghoul from best hiking boot I've ever had I'm normally weary about waterproof shoes. In my experience it's going to wet through or it's going to make you sweat to discomfort, and never dries. That said, I was going on a trip to Iceland, wanted to bring one pair of shoes, and knew I was going to get wet. After shopping around and some deliberation I took what felt like a gamble on these shoes. They so far exceeded my expectations that, I, a guy a doesn't ever write reviews, is writing a review. These things walked (actual, not hyperbolic) miles through streams and stayed dry. The rubber had more grip than many approach shoes I've had, especially when wet. They're as light, comfortable, and sensitive as a running shoe but as rugged and supportive as a hiking boot. There's no compromise. Eventually, I fully submerged my foot and they got wet. To my surprise they dried enough to be comfortably worn the next day. There are a few caveats. The venting on the bottom was disconcerting at first. Your foot gets cold which creates the feeling of moisture when the water flows through. Once they wet out, they get to a wearable level of dryness relatively quickly, but will succumb to moisture until they are fully dry. I also don't imagine they would be a great choice for cold weather. That being said, they still reign supreme. I don't see much room for improvement.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DHSC from Comfortable, but very tight in the toe box After walking around the house for a week on/off with these I did a six mile hike up Mt. Mitchell, NC. The shoe is stable, and comfortable in the heel and mid, but very tight in the toe box, my toes felt it after the hike. I wish there was a wider size in 13, if there was I would ask for a trade-in
