Rated 5 out of 5 by from Five ten has stepped up their game. These shoes combine the best of both brands, you get the ultra grippy foot feel of five ten stealth with the ultra comfy and lightweight upper of an adidas shoe. Soles feel a little stiffer than a freerider, but still need breaking in. Note- while the overall comfort is on par with Adidas, the last size is still more in line with fiveten, which is to say roomy. I wear a full size smaller fiveten than I do in adidas skate shoes. Tried splitting the difference on the trailcross mids and wish I had stuck with the full size smaller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Good, I’m Buying a Second Pair! Okay, here’s my initial review of the Five Ten Trailcross Mid Pro. The sizing is spot on for me. I’m a size 10 on the narrow side of 10 D and these fit perfectly. There’s more than enough room for toe splay in the toe box. I have a high Intstep and the laces lock right in. The heel counter is cupped and you can feel it wrapping around and protecting your Achilles’ tendon. I don’t believe there would be much break in required to hike in them. The midsole is definitely not as stiff as the free riders nor the aescent. This feels more like a regular athletic sneaker than any Five Ten shoe I’ve worn before. The heel to toe drop is minimal and feels like a modern minimal shoe. The fit was a bit snug at first but broke in quickly. The ankle portion of the high top is flexible and does not impair any movement I can’t see the sock keeping out sand (I have skinny ankles) but it’ll definitely keep lager chunks of dirt out. One of the big things for me are the D30 inserts on the ankle. D30 is some amazing stuff and you should YouTube search it to see why. The soles are stealth rubber and as such are super squeaky and also super sticky. They give you the same “clipped in” feel of all of the other MTB specific Five Ten shoes with a bit more protection and more importantly, all day comfort. I’d definitely recommend these as casual or even light hiking boots as well as an MTB shoe. I liked them so much I’m buying a second pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands down the best shoe for flats I've been running 5.10s for a while now so this is my 3rd pair. These are by far the best if you're using flat pedals. They flex but are still firm enough to give great power transfer. And don't even get me started on how nice they are in the hike-a-bike situations! SO much better than my previous pair with the ridgid sole. These are comfortable enough to hike in and have grip for days. I was a little tepid about the high top part but I actually don't even notice because it's so compliant. I thought I'd get sweaty around the upper part but it, like the whole shoe, breathes just fine. Best part: no more irritating sand in the shoe! Winner all day! One note: They do run small. I wear a 10-10.5 and I'm in a size 9.5 with these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love em! I owned the Adidas Trail Cross Mid before these and still ride in them ( 2+ years with zero quality/wear issues ). The 5 10 Trail Cross Mid are redesigned but still feel similar on foot. The neoprene gator is new and I like it, the gen1 had a velcro wrap that I like as well. The sole is great, not DH super sticky but a nice mix between sticky, durable and comfortable. I put a premium on comfort. If they turn out to be as durable as the first gen. then I'll be very happy with these bad boys!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoes, super comfortable Love this shoes, i havent use them mountain biking yet but I've been walking around with them and running they are really comfortable, the way they wrap your ankle gives them a lot of support. Only complaint is they are a pain to put on but once there on wow the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit and real comfort all around I was going to purchase a pair of five ten shoes when I saw these were coming out soon. I waited for them to get some reviews and then decided to get decision ever....these fit true to size and were comfortable the day I put them on. I decided to wear them for a day walking around to break them in and they are really comfortable. my feet did not get hot even with thick socks on. Then I went riding with them......a two hour ride and I forgot that I was wearing new shoes that is how comfortable they are …..they soles stick to the pedals like glue not matter how hard I rode. These are more comfortable than any of the hiking boots that i have and better than most of the hiking or walking shoes that i have other riding shoes are history as these are the only shoes i will wear from now on. Get these while you can my guess is that they will sell out quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe! I see a second pair in my future. They won't see much peddle action on my feet. But I see them being my go to hikers for BASE jumping, speed flying and urban moto rides. I also Bungee jump more than most, being that I'm part owner of a company, and I'm looking forward to wearing them for that too. The ankle pads are perfect for the ankle wraps we use. It's pretty normal to do ten jumps in a row, so having thin padding on the ankle is great. Any thicker and it becomes uncomfortable. I have been wearing them on a onewheel lately and for that they are great! Tones of grip, plus the ankle padding does protect my ankle from the boarding hit them, which does happen when you ride off road. Overall I'm really happy with them. Will definitely need more than one pair. Oh, and a half size smaller fit me perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Solid Shoe! I’ve owned these shoes for around 60 days. I’m a daily rider, both commuting and recreational. 5Ten rubber is the best! Appreciate the added protection of the high top and ankle protection. The coup protecting cuff is an added bonus. Fit is true to 5Ten. My two pairs of Impact 9.5’s fit nicely, as do these trailcross mid pros. Plenty of toe-box room. One downfall.... the $170 price tag. If I wouldn’t have got these for $119... I wouldn’t have bought them. not worth $170 IMHO
