FIVE TEN SLEUTH MEN'S MOUNTAIN BIKE SHOE is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 42.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good sneaker, bad bike shoe This shoe reminds me of the old Adidas Cierro sneakers. I'm not mad, because I loved those shoes, but it does not feel like a bike shoe. More like an indoor soccer/turf shoe. The platform is narrow, the last is definitely an Adidas sneaker last, and the material stains easily. I'd hoped to use these as a commuter/everyday shoe but they will have to be more specific to walking around town and the office on dry days. Bummer because they DO have the classic 5.10 outsole and they fit well (note that I've found the Adidas lasts to fit smaller than 5.10's old lasts, so consider sizing half a size up if you haven't bought 5.10s in over a year).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fit so far.....and sticky! I ordered the feather grey color and the shoe looks really nice. I haven't used the shoe on the trail yet. I did test it on my flat pedals and they are like glue....crazy! but for you peeps out there this is my 1st pair of Five Ten shoes so I'm size 13 and I ordered size 12 and the size feels about right. Just a half inch of room in the front and I'm wearing Stance socks, classic and 360 Feel(thinner) so my foot feels secured. I don't like my foot to be dancing back and forth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like these a lot Have taken these on 5 rides and they’re such an improvement from wearing old vans and they still look good. The sole is much stiffer, the grip is great, and not having soaked socks after creek crossings is awesome. I’m normally 10 but I got a 9.5 for a snug fit, they are a little narrow I’m some sections for my feet but it’s not noticed when riding and my feet feel fine after. Totally worth $60 I think they’ll last awhile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough materials and breathable!! These are my first pair of mountain biking shoes and they mostly remind me of my old school Samba indoor soccer shoes....that being said, not much cushion, but great flat pedal grip on my bike. The outsole isn’t even fazed by the spikes in them at all! Very happy with my purchase! Normally I wear an 11 in ultraboosts and terrex hikers, but went with the advice in other reviews to go a half size down and I’m glad I did! A hair on the small side, but they would have been way too big in my normal 11. Not a bad casual shoe to wear with khakis or cargo shorts either!! A+++

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving these so far as a cycling commuter shoe! Just bought these recently and have only worn them for a week or so, but my initial impressions are quite high. They look sleek, are very comfortable for casual wear (e.g. walking around, standing, etc), and the rubber soles are super grippy - they felt like suction cups when I first walked on wood floors. I could imagine the soles being stiffer for cycling purposes, but honestly, I really enjoy the firmness since I wear them as my casual shoes. They're definitely stiffer than my Vans, but certainly less stiff than a road bike shoe. Especially on sale, I give them two thumbs up so far!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid shoe I bout these a couple weeks ago, and I’ve used them a handful of times. The laces are a little long, but that’s minor. They stick well to my flats, and the top layer of the shoe feels really sturdy. Not as worried about smashing toes with these as I was with tennis shoes. They fit true to size. I’m a size 13 shoe, and these fit like most size 13’s I’ve worn. Only thing to look out for is the first ride, they were not super sticky and my foot was bouncing around quite a bit. After that though, smooth sailing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Way too narrow Way too narrow… Cool design but if they’re going to make them this narrow they need to make a wide version as well… Totally disappointed and bummed out that I can’t wear some biking shoes I had to sell them… Also, Adidas and 510 need to make some urban biking shoes and stop labeling everything mountain biking shoes. I’m a long time Adidas customer and fan but get aWide option

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The classic that never fails I had a pair of Sleuths for years and loved them. They're the perfect balance between a thin skate-style shoe and a full-blown mountain biking shoe. I like the medium sole thickness and stiffness, which gives me nice pedal feel and feedback so that I know what my bike is doing, but it takes the bite out of impacts and rough patches. And heck, it doesn't look half bad as a shoe to take out on the town, either!
