Rated 5 out of 5 by MTB Beta from Almost Perfect Riding Downhill parks a lot I found that my feet were getting sore. I bought larger pedals to help combat this but it didn't make much difference. I bought the Sam Hill's due to the stiffer sole and has made a huge difference. I really like the protection the shoe provides. It is a little bit wider than I am used to so foot placement needs to be adjusted slightly. The stiffer sole also means a little less feedback from the pedals. I will probably get used to this and it is probably a good thing but noticeable the first few rides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jibnation from Great Shoe for Flat Pedals I like this model over the Impact shoe. Laces are easy to tuck out of the way. The old model used to have tongue straps inside the shoe that are gone on new model. Wish those were still there but other than that I’m very happy with the Sam Hills

Rated 1 out of 5 by owlie from Bought some shoes on Black friday for my child I bought some 5.5 sized adult shoes for my child to ride flat pedals on black friday. He wears a 4.5-5 now, so I thought a little growing room would be great. Christmas day, he cant even fit in them. I sent an email to Adidas that day and got a response that they will be out of the office until Jan 2. Looks like theyre on winter break.. Now they dont respond at all to my emails, and Im guessing Ive fallen out of my 30 day return since black friday was early this year. I wish Five Ten wasnt bought by the big thug corporate shoe guys. Moving on to Specialized

Rated 3 out of 5 by IndieSkies from Take me to the Moon, Alice! These shoes are big,....... very big,.......... I mean huge! First, here what is great about them. They hug your feet very well. You have excellent heel support, thick tongue, and super cool styling. I love the colors. They dry very quickly if you get them wet. You feel like your foot is super protected for just a bout anything. So if you happen to hit some rocks by some odd chance, it will not hurt. They might make a decent hiking boot for the more difficult, hard to get to, trails. The panther imprint you leave in dirt is extremely cool. Next are some things I didn’t really get used to. There is extra protection on the outside flank of your feet. It looks and feels a bit odd. Not sure if you’d get use to it. The soles are about 1.5 inches tall. I could not feel the pedals that well. I could not tell where my feet were with out looking. They are a bit heavy and very stiff. If you are a rider looking to drop weight for speed, these are not the shoes to have. Buy this pair if: *You hike to hard places to ride *You need the extreme protection from rocks *Ride in very wet conditions mostly *Aboslutely love the panther on the bottom and don’t care about being taller, or the added weight of the shoe Don’t buy this pair of: *You need to shave off any riding weight *You don’t need to hike in remote areas *You like to feel your pedals *Dont mind wearing other shoes in wet conditions *Want to walk around in shoes that bend with your step, these shoes are really stiff. Not so forgiving

Rated 4 out of 5 by Juanmotime from Great shoes Unfortunately Impact II Lows were phased out so had to go with the Sam Hills 3 as I like the features and protection. Overall the shoe is amazing. They evolved the weak overlapping areas to streamline stronger sections. The only con I have is the florecent yellow accents. Black on black is what most want.
