Rated 3 out of 5 by Joseph C from Mixed feelings Had this shoe for 2 months exactly and blew out both inner toe areas with indoor gym climbing about 2 days a week. Faulty build quality seems to be a common problem since Adidas took over 5.10 after reading the reviews on many other model shoes... These are a comfy intermediate shoe made for people with wide toe boxes. They run true to street sizes and have some stretch after a short break in period. Very easy on and off with the split tongue and duel Velcro straps. I have flat feet and was left with some dead space on top outer edges where the "toe hook" rubber stops. Decent shoe while they lasted, I've purchased 2 pairs while on sale at different times but since moved to another brand.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Zachy from Had to return and resize I read a lot of reviews about how these ran large on people and they downsized. My street size is 10 and I wear 10 (43) in sportivas and scarpas and those shoes fit great, and I could probably size the others down to 9.5 or 42s and still be okay. So I tried to go 9.5 based off many reviews saying how they had to size down. I must be in the minority here because I couldn’t even stand to wear them more than a minute, and in that minute alone my toes hurt for hours later. So I’m sizing up to 10.5 from 9.5 and hope I can make that work. On a positive note they were pretty stiff and should be great for climbs that need stiff support. Looking forward to finding the right size

Rated 4 out of 5 by blaks from Overall good shoe with interesting fit These shoes are really high volume, and seem like they would fit wide feet better. My toes are slightly curled in these but the material in the toe box is baggy when you strap them tight (heel feels good though). It feels wide and a bit baggy but weirdly aggressive still because the fit is still moderately tight- making them pretty comfortable overall actually. For more precise fit I still like the anasazis, teams and hiangles though. I wear 8.5 anasazi/hiangle and also 8.5 in quantums, for reference.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Garrett Swank from Sorta funky Owned for about 3-4 months before the toe started to blow. Normal would have re-soled but I didn't figure it was worth it for these. They are just funky. Funky sizing, they fit really snug except the heel doesn't seem to fit anyone right, lots of dead space at the bottom, funky use case, they are from what I understand a "Alpine" shoe, and while I agree they are good for difficult granite face climbing, they are built for the gym. The Velcro system just simply is not good enough for that style of climbing... But it's great in the gym. Just funky Sizing: half size down from street shoe seems to be right for a lot of 5.10 shoes, these are no different.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Frustrated from Suffered an upgrade? I bought a pair of these in the summer and the fit was perfect, so when they went on sale, I wanted to grab another pair. I ordered the exact same size and yet the newer shoe is significantly smaller (have a look at the photos). I want to buy 5:10 products, but the information they provide is not helping me find the correct size, it is so frustrating!

Rated 5 out of 5 by birdperson from Pointy and Comfortable Very structured shoe with a precise pointed toe. Higher volume than other 5.10 shoes with a well-designed heel cup (for me - not too deep). Still enough to let the shoe support on small edges, sensitive enough to power down on bad footholds. Toehook rubber is a great addition. Sized 1/2 down from street.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kinz from So far so good! I have that infamous longer second toe and a stupid wide toe box therefore I hate climbing shoes... but so far the only shoe I have been able to wear are five-ten's, my entry level shoe was the stonelands which they don't make anymore but these are my first pair of slightly more aggressive shoes that actually don't make me want to cry when I put them on. I am a women's size 10 regular shoe and the men's 9.5 quantum VCS shoe is what I got. Might be too early to tell as I've only bouldered in them once but I'm very optimistic

Rated 4 out of 5 by Crit from A great alternative to the classic lace version This is a great alternative to the Quantum lace if you're looking for an easier on and off version. The fit is comparable to the lace, but a little less precise. There does seem to be some dead space in the shoes, and they dont hug your foot like the lace-ups do, but thats usually what you get with a velcro model. A nice downturn and well-fitting heel cup round it out to be a great shoe. I wear a 9 in the lace version (fits like a glove) and felt that a 9 in the velcro was a tiny bit too big, but an 8.5 was too small. So I must be right in between sizes
