FIVE TEN QUANTUM VCS MEN'S CLIMBING SHOE is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Had to return and resize I read a lot of reviews about how these ran large on people and they downsized. My street size is 10 and I wear 10 (43) in sportivas and scarpas and those shoes fit great, and I could probably size the others down to 9.5 or 42s and still be okay. So I tried to go 9.5 based off many reviews saying how they had to size down. I must be in the minority here because I couldn’t even stand to wear them more than a minute, and in that minute alone my toes hurt for hours later. So I’m sizing up to 10.5 from 9.5 and hope I can make that work. On a positive note they were pretty stiff and should be great for climbs that need stiff support. Looking forward to finding the right size

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall good shoe with interesting fit These shoes are really high volume, and seem like they would fit wide feet better. My toes are slightly curled in these but the material in the toe box is baggy when you strap them tight (heel feels good though). It feels wide and a bit baggy but weirdly aggressive still because the fit is still moderately tight- making them pretty comfortable overall actually. For more precise fit I still like the anasazis, teams and hiangles though. I wear 8.5 anasazi/hiangle and also 8.5 in quantums, for reference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pointy and Comfortable Very structured shoe with a precise pointed toe. Higher volume than other 5.10 shoes with a well-designed heel cup (for me - not too deep). Still enough to let the shoe support on small edges, sensitive enough to power down on bad footholds. Toehook rubber is a great addition. Sized 1/2 down from street.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great alternative to the classic lace version This is a great alternative to the Quantum lace if you're looking for an easier on and off version. The fit is comparable to the lace, but a little less precise. There does seem to be some dead space in the shoes, and they dont hug your foot like the lace-ups do, but thats usually what you get with a velcro model. A nice downturn and well-fitting heel cup round it out to be a great shoe. I wear a 9 in the lace version (fits like a glove) and felt that a 9 in the velcro was a tiny bit too big, but an 8.5 was too small. So I must be right in between sizes

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad rubber I really enjoyed this shoe a lot while it lasted, but unfortunately the toes blew out between one and two months. I'm a Route Setter and was looking to try out this new shoe and was hoping the stiff rubber would be durable and longer lasting, unfortunately it wasn't. I hope they bring back a shoe comparable to the Arrowheads because those were the most reliable and durable all around shoes. I wouldn't buy this shoe again unless in some modified version.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Baggy in the toe area Orderd online, same size as I always order with 5.10 Teams and VXi. The Quantums felt like they were the right size except there was too much space above the toes, but otherwise the shoe was super tight. A baggy toe area where I'd need it to fit like a glove for toe hooking is no good. Was suprized, they just didn't seem well thought out and executed for a high end agressive shoe. I'll stick to the Teams.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this shoe- weird fit I wear a 12.5 in Verdon and Quantum lace, I ordered these in 12 and 12.5 and kept the 12.5, but only because my left has one toe longer and it was agony with my left and a perfect and tight aggressive fit. Still love it in a 12.5 for an all around shoe, and fits tight enough after several hard sessions that I take them off frequently. Fits exactly the same as the lace in the toebox but much stiffer and does not stretch. I has a slight give so it still forms to you a bit, but nothing like the lace, which had to be tightened several times for the first two sessions. Definitely has a weird bagginess above the pinky toe but that hasnt had any negative effect. Also tightening to the point of running out of velcro. Great for high volume feet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Edges and smears Used it mainly indoors but also a few days on both granite and limestone sport. Edges way better than the Hiangles even though I wear them slightly too big, ca half a size up from my preferred size. They do stretch.
