FIVE TEN QUANTUM MEN'S CLIMBING SHOE
FIVE TEN QUANTUM MEN'S CLIMBING SHOE
Ideal for steep, overhanging routes and long bouldering sessions
For the redevelopment of the classic Quantum, we worked with the Huber brothers, Alex and Thomas, to develop an all-around performance shoe for any climbing setting. The Hubers tackle a diverse range of climbs with many different angles and rock textures, so Stealth® C4™ (our most versatile climbing compound) was a natural choice for the outsole.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ma Ja from Comfortable, and Versatile These shoes were on SuperSale for $59, and I am pretty shocked they were now that I've worn them a few times. I needed another gym shoe and immediately thought about putting then in the closet for outdoor climbing only becasue of how nice they are. These are ideal face climbing/edgy slab climbing, but could easily be an all day trad shoe (sized .5 bigger), and even do well on a 45 degree over hang, I would want to roof climb in these though. The all-roundness of these are pretty special. I'm partial to Hiangles10 for everything, MiuraXX42 for an alternate to Hiangles, Genius42 for steep, and Katana42.5 for an all day trad shoe, and these Quantums9.5 could replace all but the Genius. I love my Hiangles too much though to ever stop wearing them. I'll be on the look out for more deals with Five Ten.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jmcgall from Comfortable and Sticky I wear size 11 Gambits, Boreal, size 11 running shoes, and bought these in both 10.5 and 11. The 10.5 is pretty tight on me, and I was worried they would be too small, but after a few uses they went from stiff and tight to "glove" snug. The 10.5 definitely keeps my feet tensioned, and the 11 is good for more casual or 3+hr sessions. These shoes are excellent after breaking in. Incredibly comfortable, they have no hot spots that I experience with the Boreal. These are great shoes for smearing, edging, and work well for overhangs or slab, a really well balanced shoe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jeff b from Decent shoes I have always loved climbing in the 5.10 quantum shoe. The only problem is since addidas has owned five ten there climbing shoe quality has drastically decreased. These shoes seem to be made for someone with a very tall foot. With the laces tight there is so much dead space in the toe cap. Sad to say but this will be the last five ten product I purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BDTD from Quantums Went with street size in these 8.5 (I wear an 8.5 in La Sportiva Taran and TC Pro). They're tight on me right out of the box (I have slightly fat feet), expecting them to stretch a tiny bit but I prefer a tighter fit so I'm pleased. I switch off barefoot and wearing very thin socks when I climb and these shoes are great for both in my street size. Extremely comfortable and stiff, very satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GymMonkey from Great all around shoe! This is my third pair of 5.10s. I wear a 13 street shoe- started with Verdons(mush stiffer and slightly less down turned) in a 12 and they lost all shape- bumped up to 12.5s and love them for trad but struggle to boulder as they no longer heel hook well and can't toe hook or crack climb in them at all. Got the Quantums in 12.5 and as everyone has said before they are unreal comfortable right out of the box. Heel hooking is fantastic and though a larger toe patch would be nice they still toe hook nicely. Really didnt think with the more aggressive downturm that crack climbing was possible, but the softer platform is wonderful in large cracks. Cant speak for longevity, but at 180lbs Ive done a few solid sessions and havent seen any issues yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by doclimber from First pair of five ten shoes I downsized half size from my street shoe size and they were pretty tight out of the box but have broken in well. I bought them to compliment my tc pros for harder multipitch routes but have found them to also be excellent at indoor bouldering and outdoor sport climbing. I also have a pair of futuras and went though a few pair of evolvs as well. This is my first five ten shoes and I'm impressed with the C4 rubber and how well it sticks to rock. It is quickly becoming my favorite pair of shoes and i might buy more before adidas gets rid of them. I haven't had any durability issues with them and I'm pretty convinced that everyone whining about early holes needs to clean up their sloppy footwork before being worthy of high performance shoes like these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bodhi from All day climbing shoe! I just got these a few days ago. I ordered them true to size from the other reviews. They were super comfortable right out of the box. I wanted a show that I could wear all day at the local crag but still perform well. I’ve only worn these a few times but they seem like they fit the bill. My only problem is that the heal is just a little sloppy so heal hooking isn’t as precise as I would like. But I think it’s just the shape of my heal. Hope to cone back for another review after a few more burns to update. As of now, they are amazing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by FelipeGigante from Great shoes, if they last! (Spoiler, mine didn't!) Super comfortable, sized close to street size with minimal stretch and stayed tight the entirety of their life for me. Unfortunately that was about a grand total of 2-3 months. Kept these out of the gym and only used outdoors approximately 12-15 days of moderate climbing. Blew a hole in the toe insanely quickly. I'd love to say it's a fluke but it doesn't take much work reading reviews on here to see it's a QC issue. The only reason I stand by 5.10 is that their warranty has always helped me out in the past with similar issues. If they didn't stand behind the products as well as they do I would have moved on by now. That being said I'm not sure how many more times I can send shoes back after 2 months for blowing out before I make myself find an alternative.
