FIVE TEN KESTREL LACE MEN'S MOUNTAIN BIKE SHOE is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe I spent last season on flat pedals & 5.10 Freeride shoes. Needed new clipless shoes & decided to try the Kestrel Lace. It's the best shoe I've ever used for clipless. Have used Lake shoes for 15 years, MX 175/165 mostly, but the Kestrel Lace is superior in every way except it lacks the true Vibram hiking sole of the Lakes. That sole was handy for rugged hike-a-bike sections but based on my rides thus far, I think the Kestrel Lace will be fine in those conditions. Pedaling efficiency is excellent & fit is perfect for my foot. Great shoe and a pleasant surprise frim Adidas/FiveTen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stable with excellent support Mainly fitness and short to moderate distance road riding. These shoes deliver great comfort and strong peddling on either side of my CB Double Shot pedals. Four stars because they defanatly run 1/2 size small, had to return for a 10.5 size. All is good now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very sturdy and sticky About 10 rides in on these and I love them. I was using a more cross country specific show that was too hard when trying to walk up rocks. These shoes are very sticky and sturdy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Roomy shoe not for low volume feet A lot of the reviews I ha e read state that these shoes run small. I totally disagree. I wear an 8.5 in pretty much every shoe I own, sometimes a 9. I ordered the 8.5 and while it does fit and is rideable, I wish I would have ordered an 8. Also the Velcro strap is nice but cuts into the ankle a little bit. Would be nice if it was a little lower on the foot. Overall a good shoe but not great for low volume feet like mine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shoe for Trail / AM riding. I was looking for a replacement for my Impact clipless because on longer rides I would get hot spots on my feet from the clips due to the softer shank. These are great. The sole is stiff but still flexes enough that you can Hike-A-Bike as needed without being uncomfortable. I wear these on city rides as well and the cleat recess is deep enough that I can walk around without feeling like I'm tearing up the floor. The toe is stiff and protected and I have bounced my foot off several rocks already without an issue. The foot bed is comfortable and has a great arch support that hits my foot just right. My only gripe is that the tongue feels very thin and could have more padding and structure. If I crank on the laces and strap they dig in a little on the top of my ankle joint. It's not Terrible, but it's worth noting. I know they were going for breathability and what not but I think it could be better. I got this color on closeout and got a screaming deal so I really don't have any room to complain at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from much better fit I wear a size 9 in every other shoe I own. But my pre-Adidas Freeriders were so narrow and just a little short that I bought a 9.5 and they are too long. I ordered the Kestrel Boa in a size 9 a few years ago and sent them back, they were also way too narrow and short. Next ordered a pair of Maltese Falcons in 9.5 and they were too sloppy big. But these Kestrel Lace shoes in a size 9 are spot on perfect. Seems that pre-Adidas Five Tens were a little off-size, perhaps a quarter step off. Happy now though!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Happy I have purchased 5/10 freeriders pro shoes prior so the idea of getting clipless shoes really had me looking forward to their arrival. Upon opening the box I noticed that the left shoe was missing the green padded insert that the right shoe had. I was willing to overlook that and tried them on only to find that the 11 that fir so well on the freeriders was about a half size to full size to small. Upon contacting customer service they questioned me like I was trying to scam them out of something when all I wanted to do was an even exchange. They didnt offer to exchange or even suggest a discount offer towards another pair since they could not accommodate the up size. I'm still waiting for my refund to hit my charge card even thought I mailed the shoes back over a week ago. Very disappointed I believe my freeriders will be the last 5/10's I will own.
