Rated 1 out of 5 by Just another dirtbag from Great rubber, poor choice of adhesives Can't beat the 5.10 stealth rubber for tackiness on pedals or rocks. But the overall quality of 5.10 products has taken a serious nosedive. The glue/stitching used between the Rand and uppers is pathetic and will delaminate within a year of moderate use. Fortunately, shoe goo comes in a big tube. As soon as a company developes and starts selling a comparable rubber, 5.10 will be another casualty of poor production.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MTbiker from Not as good as previous models Tongue is much thinner than older Impact High shoes, so laces cut into feet and ankles. Also sizing has changed, so they are longer than before. Stealth rubber is the only reason to buy fiveten anymore: Quality has decreased and price has increased over the years. Sad because I have been riding fiveten for as long as they have made mtb shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BRRT Rider from Nice Shoe Very sticking MTB shoe. I bought them for the ankle protection during BRRT deployments. Nice wide shoe allowing for thicker socks as well as my feet to swell during the day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Capn from Herman Munster's Great, Roomy Toe Box Finally got the new Impacts after much hassle, none of the bike shops could get them, and so I tried Adidas and it was quick and cheaper with the new user discount. The shoes seem to have grown in size since my last Impacts, but using a vernier caliper to check measurements they, in fact, measure about the same as my older model of 7-9 years ago. See photo. That being said, they look big! But they fit my feet well and my toes don't hit the shoe on dabs or rock hits. I've used them for about a month and they have a hot spot in the uppers by my ankle which I have not had in the previous 2 models of Impacts. The souls are still as sticky as ever and with the ankle protection is the reason I keep buying them! At $160.00 US dollars I would expect a top-end shoe with plenty of features i.e. lace holders, possibly water proof, or lots of leather, however what I received was more along the lines of a cheap tennis shoe (mesh toe section) with a great soul. If your looking for any kind of pedal feel I would look elsewhere these feel like my feet are numb, but maybe they will break in? They do have lots of ankle support! I believe they are manufactured in Vietnam. Cheers

Rated 5 out of 5 by AdrenalineJunky from Great support, lasts 3 seasons of riding! My first pair lasted 3 years of riding and now I use them for digging. I'm on year 2 of my second pair. Tacky rubber, stiff toe box, great ankle protection. They never smell and always fit perfect.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Moses1348 from Two stars less than the previous models After my previous impacts finally deteriorated into nothingness after lots of abuse, I purchased the new model. I have been wearing them for around 6 months now, and I have to say, I’m a bit disappointed in many aspects. My last pair fit like a glove, these feel a bit clunky. The new models are far less comfortable on long rides than previous models and I have to stop more frequently because of it. Quality seems a bit lacking when compared to the price tag. I’ve never said that about Five Ten’s before and I’ve been a customer for over 15 years. I don’t mind spending money, but I expect high quality in exchange. At least the stealth rubber is still super sticky, which is the redeeming quality of these shoes. I like having high shoes while riding for ankle support and protection, but may have to look elsewhere for my next pair. Hopefully Adidas will address some of these issues and move forward with the same quality we’ve grown to expect.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jay21 from What happened? I’ve always been an 8 1/2 in Five Tens. The Impacts I ordered were too small and had to be returned. Sad to learn the toe guards are also no longer available. Please bring them back!
