FIVE TEN HIANGLE WOMEN'S CLIMBING SHOE

Built on the same last as the previous Hiangle, these shoes feature an unlined microfibre build for unmatched shape retention. Worn by world-class climbers and weekend boulderers alike, they balance the sensitivity and support that aggressive climbing demands. The downturned shape and extended toe rubber provide improved toe hooks while a split outsole and soft Stealth® HF rubber on the heel offer secure heel hooks. The women's model features a lower volume fit for narrower feet

Move with confidence on technical routes. The stiff profile of these adidas shoes supports aggressive climbing. A combination of downturn and extended toe rands lets you grip the narrowest edges and smear subtle features. Indoors or out, the Hiangle helps you find the balance between finesse and strength.

FIVE TEN HIANGLE WOMEN'S CLIMBING SHOE is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good shoe Size Down! Firstly, the shoes are better than I expected! (yay!) - I am a die hard OG Five Ten Pink Hiangle gal so I was pleased when these felt just as soft but still structured. (Unlike the current pink/red Hiangles for sale online that are so so stiff). The front half of the shoe feels quite similar, but the heel is definitely different. While I still prefer the old pink heel, this one may just take some getting used to and a more accurate size. The heel is pretty soft and sticky though. Another difference is how far the heel comes up. See picture. It's not as much of a low rise shoe anymore. I feel like the shoe pretty much fits my foot the same as the old shoe. For me, the heel is not quite as snug though given it's a little more ball-like, and how far it comes up in the back. Sizing: The sizing is sooo different, which is really unfortunate, especially with the return policy being so strict. (How are you supposed to know if they're right but still keep the tags on?) I would suggest sizing down 1-1.5 sizes down from your street size. My street size is a 7. I have included pictures to display. The pink shoe is a 7.5 and the new white shoe is a 7. I feel like I need a 6 in the new Hiangle. I like my shoes tight, but not painfully tight. Use: Bouldering. Indoor gym and outside Rating: I gave this a 3/5 due to the difficulties with sizing and that I can't exchange for a different size. It's really unfortunate given the amount of money you're spending. But, I really appreciate how soft the shoe is again!! The shoe itself would get a 4/5 stars! Hope this helps those purchasing! Adidas, maybe release a sizing guide next time for a new shoe or some preferences from your pro athletes?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for climbing but not for hiking I did about a 4 mile hike in these and my feet were in pretty bad shape. Would not recommend for hiking. Great for climbing though. Just like the other hiangles but with the white it really makes matching my outfits much easier!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I would not size down These do feel somewhat loosely and larger than previous hiangles. The feel wide towards the heel and my foot arch. I do feel them start to slip off when I heel hook. I sized down a half size (due to another review I read) and really regret it. Sizing down feels like it just made the toe box so much more uncomfortable when it's unnecessary because it doesn't solve the loose heel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the same shoe I've been climbing in the five ten hiangle for nearly as long as they have existed. Its been my go to shoe for nearly every aspect of climbing style. Initially when i saw the design of this shoe i was for obvious reasons saddened. I made the choice to give them a try based on my experience with Five Ten over the yeas. Its truly unfortunate but this shoe felt completely different to me . The rigidity i once enjoyed was no longer there. Sure the edge is the same but the overall feel of the shoe is nowhere what it used to be. Heel toe cams are less assured, heel hooks in general feel less secure and more like a soft shoe character in this department. The shoe itself feels like it has been made in haste and does not convey the durability the old hiangle once provided. Moreover they are frustratingly difficult to get off your foot as the lining material they chose basically sticks to your skin. The shoe feels more like a tissue box that a well made all around performance shoe. I've tried my best to hold out hope for this brand through its transition but after this experience I could no longer justify spending my money on these products. I think its safe to say that a massive mistake was made in doing away with the tired and true hiangle, also the team shoe, the dragon and so on. This is a review i never wanted to write but I want others who love the hiangle to know that you likely wont be happy with this shoe. If your love is strong its worth a try. Mine was and i did. I couldn't keep them for more than a few days once i got to know them. I'm not really sure what the thought process behind all this was but to all you core climbers out there who have a had a long history with this company and this shoe you might have to face the hard truth that you need to find a new shoe company. Best of luck!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love a synthetic shoe! This is my second pair and I love these shoes. I’m not a fan of leather shoes and I’m so happy they made the hiangle synthetic. I have a wider foot and these shoes fit perfectly. My heel was a little gummy in my first pair so I’m downsizing to see if that fixes my problem.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Believe the Unsatisfied Reviews This *would* have been my first pair of Hiangles. Unfortunately prior to purchasing them it was hard to find reviews on this new women's model. I'm a size 8.5 (US women's) street shoe and per the one review on this site that spoke to sizing, I went a full size down to 7.5. That was a mistake as these are synthetic and will not stretch nearly as much as they would need to for the appropriate fit. When I tried standing up in them one of the toes in my left foot (my left foot is a tiny bit bigger) started seizing up as the rubber on top does not have any give whatsoever (despite the slices in it). The hot spots on these shoes are ridiculous and the hot spots were apparent on both my left and right foot. I have a feeling that going up size would mean that the shoe might be too big. To be clear the biggest issue for me was the rubber on top of the shoe. And just the overall shape of the top of the toe box. I think the sizing would have been appropriate if the toe box wasn't so cruddy. Two days before they were supposed to arrive I climbed with a friend from out of town who has been climbing in the old Hiangles for years. She said she ordered the new ones recently and hated them. She had the same issue with terrible hot spots, but more than that she said the fit of the new model is very different, so much so that she is now going to try out shoes from another brand. She also mentioned (similar to another reviewer) that the sizing on this model is completely different. In the old model she wore 1.5 sizes above her street shoe and in this model she had to go down a full size. I sincerely hope the next iteration of this shoe is closer to the original and that the toe box is redesigned. Until then, I too will be seeking out an aggressive low volume shoe from another brand. The only thing about these shoes that I liked was the color scheme. Five Ten/Adidas, please continue making low volume shoes in more neutral color schemes like this. "Women's" shoes don't have to be pink!
