Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fit! I read earlier reviews and was able to try on a few sizes so I knew to go up a half size from my street shoe. It took a few days to break them in (No, I never showered in them. Yes, I hear that is best practice.) but now that I've worn them a few times they fit great. This is my first pair of 5.10s and the most aggressive shoe I currently own. It took me a little while to get used to toe-ing in to holds given the downturn but the rubber is awesome and heel hooking is much improved compared to the sloppier ankle in my unisex shoes. Overall I'm really happy with these and looking forward to climbing in them outdoors soon to really put them to the test.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Agree - New Version is not the Same I LOVE my 2019 Hiangles for bouldering / single pitch sport climbing - indoors or out. It took a little to find the right size, but once I did they fit like a glove. In the 2019 model, I wore a size 11 (normally size 10 in five ten) and I have very narrow feet. However, just be aware that the 2020 shoe fits very different. The toe box is quite large, leaving a lot of space above your foot. Even with downsizing and tightening down the strap, the gap still exists - allowing the shoe to flex. I'm guessing they changed the shoe template this year? So sad. If you have a wide foot - or the 2019 hiangles didn't work for you - maybe give these a try?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from new version is not the same I have a low volume foot, and this was my go-to shoe since it's release. the combination of the shape and leather construction pretty much led to a glove-like fit. After ordering the most recent rendition and trial testing it, I immediately noticed that the shoe changed. It's much boxier, and the heel does not fit as snug since the rubber doesn't extend as high. I still live by the C4 rubber, but i'm supremely disappointed that my do-everything shoe...from granite/limestone/sandstone/plastic has changed for the worse.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Design Changes These used to be my favorite shoe. I wore them for bouldering a sport climbing all the time. I loved the heel cup, how well they formed to your foot, and how well they toe hooked. Then, just recentley, Adidas changed the design and they are terrible. They widenned the fit and so there is extra space everywhere in the shoe. This makes the heel cup feel loose, and loosened the sides of the shoe. I am super bummed because now I have to find a new climbing shoe. So dissapointed in how fiveten shoes have changed in the last year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect combination of comfort and performance! I've had these shoes for about a year, and, contrary to my expectations, they've become my favorite all-around. I generally prefer a softer shoe (the Team 5.10 has been my standard), and thought these would be too stiff for me on the steep stuff I climb most often, but they broke in super quickly and softened up to have just enough sensitivity to trust my foot placements while still being supportive enough to delay foot fatigue. Definitely the most comfortable downturned shoe I've ever worn. I'm on this page right now to order a new pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance, sticky rubber I've had these shoes for about a month and am extremely impressed with them. Super sticky, great smearing ability, comfortable, and the rubber seems very durable. I've only used them for indoor bouldering, and they work incredibly well on overhung sections. I can't imagine going back to a different brand shoe after these. Only complaint is sizing - I take a women size 8 street shoe and had to get a 9.5 in the women Hiangles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please bring the original shoe size and fit back! I ordered these shoes 3 times thinking something was odd with the sizes. It didn't fit the way it used to. I realized that Adidas changed the shoe spec and it's basically a totally different shoe now. The new size 5.5 is too big while size 5 is way too small. There's a drastic change in the fit. I will be returning them and seeking to find the original shoes if they still exist.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Shoe, sizing has changed I've worn these for at least 3 years and I'm convinced the sizing has changed recently. They feel about a half size smaller than usual, I can't even get the same size I've worn for so long on my feet anymore. I've had multiple pairs tear at the heel edge. The edge rubber starts to peel off and I'm left with a dangly piece of rubber useless for heel hooking. This has been the best shoe I've ever worn, but I'm giving 4 stars to the build quality and the inconsistency with Adidas. If it's not the heel rubber peeling off, the pull tabs rip. I'm not sure I've worn a pair all the way down to the rand before having a different issue come up. I'm a bit annoyed with the fact the sizing has changed so suddenly with no announcement from Adidas. Adidas claims nothing has changed with the takeover of fiveten, and I know they've owned fiveten for like 8 years, but with the complete merge, things are different. Just be upfront with those who have been fiveten customers for so long. I don't like slicing my fingers open attempting to put a pair of shoes on that claim to be the same as they've been for so long. And yes, I tried the plastic bag trick. I've been rock climbing for close to a decade, I can tell when I shoe is going to go on or when its just too small. These are too small. They are not the same. With that being said, when they perform and fit, they are amazing.
