FIVE TEN HIANGLE SYNTHETIC MENS CLIMBING SHOE is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Props to Five ten for this shoe Give credit to Five ten/Terrex for offering a synthetic version of the Hiangle shoe - similar in most every fashion (sizing, performance), give credit to the company for offering a vegan variant (read: no animals are harmed in the making of this product; as well as environmentally conscious). For those of you who still do not feel the aforementioned arguments are strong enough, this model follows the synthetic materials rule of only minor stretch post purchase and use. Great job, thank you, from one who cares to a company that cares.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite hiangle Surprised to see they rereleased these! I love the synthetic, you can fit these tight and they will stay tighter than normal hiangles after heavy use. A time tested bouldering shoe that I wouldn’t do without!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 5.10 needs to work on their quality control The pair of Hiangles that I received from 5.10 had a delaminated toe where the sole was not adequately glued to the upper rubber, resulting in a gap (this is a factory defect and is unacceptable). A few months ago I received a pair of Dragons that had a internal lining glue factory defect where the lining was glued into a crease, making the shoe unwearable. The only reason this review does not get one star is that 5.10 is fantastic about returns, it is incredibly convenient to get a return slip in the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highlighter Yellow Hiangle A good complement to the original - same fit but maintains more tension in the upper. I size these 1/2 size up from the leather version and it's perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good stiff shoe, get the leather ones Overall I prefer the leather version of these shoes. The stretch the leather gives is really useful for properly sizing (full size down from street shoe). This leaves your toes properly scrunchified, plus no room over the toe box. However since these are synthetic, there is no stretch so sizing was half size down from street shoe size. The result is a longer shoe (by half size) with the same volume as a stretched out leather shoe. As a result when extending my foot to reach for holds my toes have more room in front to over extend, making my foot placement less precise and less sturdy overall. All in all good shoe, if you like stiff shoes. However 100% recommend the leather version over this!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent for steep stuff I've had several of the non-synthetic Hiangle and have had nothing but success. They are my go to for bouldering. This is my first set of the synthetic Hiangle and am pleased. A little longer to break in, but feeling more durable than the leather version. Happy to boulder in these!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Baggy Upper Bought these to try something new. Out of the box the fit was pretty good, but after about a week the upper was noticeably more baggy. The synthetic upper that's not supposed to stretch much (if at all) has stretched out for me similar to a lined leather shoe. Quite a bit of dead space even with the last, sole, and heel cup fitting well. Not sure if I'm noticing the dead space more because this is my first slipper style, but I definitely recommend a half-size down from what you think you want.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable yet super aggressive at the same time I've been wearing the leather hiangles for a while now and was skeptical about trying the synthetics. However I'm really glad I did! The rubbers very sticky! I've only been climbing in them for about 3 weeks so I can't speak to their durability. My street shoe size is 10.5 and I went with a 10.5. I would say they fit very well I may be able to it squeeze nto a size ten but I don't think it would be worth it.
