FIVE TEN HIANGLE MEN'S CLIMBING SHOE
FIVE TEN HIANGLE MEN'S CLIMBING SHOE
Built on the same last as the previous Hiangle, these shoes feature an unlined microfibre build for unmatched shape retention. Worn by world-class climbers and weekend boulderers alike, they balance the sensitivity and support that aggressive climbing demands. The downturned shape and extended toe rubber provide improved toe hooks while a split outsole and soft Stealth® HF rubber on the heel offer secure heel hooks.
Balance on thin features. Pull off secure heel hooks. These adidas shoes support technical climbing with aggressive downturn, a stiff profile and extended toe rands. Indoors or out, the Hiangle helps find the balance between finesse and strength.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mikeclimbs from Hiangle V3 The Hiangle has been my go-to shoe since back in the day that it turned your feet blue - it's always had the right combination of stiffness and sensitivity to be great as a bouldering, sport, and gym shoe. The first reviews I saw had me a little worried that this new version would no longer be the same, but after actually putting them on and climbing in them, I'm really happy with the updated version. The shoe is a little lighter, there is more rubber coverage overall and the toe maintains the same shape. Break-in period was much faster than the leather version. Biggest difference feels is the heel depth. Sizing is the exact same - side-by-side comparison with older version for reference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TedP from Amazing improvements! I owned the original V1 smurfs and loved them. Was a bit hesitant after hearing some mixed early reviews but these are, in my opinion, a huge improvement over the originals. The split sole is awesome - way easier to get into and much easier to toe in on overhangs, but they still edge amazingly on less steep terrain. The heel is probably the biggest highlight...I’ve worn Solutions, Instincts, Dragons, Teams, etc and this is the best fitting, stickiest shoe heel I’ve ever worn. Unreal! There was a very brief break in (they were good by the end of one bouldering session) and the fit is perfect if you size up 1/2 from what you wore in the Blues.

Rated 2 out of 5 by selfguided from Didn't work for me Leather Hiangles: 11.5 Teams: 12 VS/VSR: 43 Solution: 42.5 Vans: 11.5 Purchased the 2020 Hiangles in the same size as what I wear in leather Hiangles. PROS: - The upgrade to the heel - different tensioning and the use of HF rubber made the heel feel more sensitive and fit more secure - I appreciated the extra velcro options for securing closure - The shoe seemed to have a better overall construction/crafstmanship than the previous model leather model CONS: - The fit - it just didn't work for me. The toe box was pretty aggressive (read toes very curled) but every other part of the forefront of the shoe was pretty baggy and voluminous - The upgrade to the heel - although it was a step in the right direction, the heel tension actually caused me to have air gaps in the arch. I never had this issue with the previous leather model. OVERALL IMPRESSIONS The fit is not quite right (at least for me). A half size up would fix my toebox issues and a half size down would solve my volume issues...so it's back to the old leather ones for now. However, I think someone with a higher volume foot would probably enjoy a street shoe size of this version very much. * I did want to commend Five Ten for their customer service and return policy. I appreciate how they make it very easy to purchase, try on, and return shoes. It is one of the main reasons I decided to try this version out.*

Rated 5 out of 5 by CO Climber from Impressive Shoe - Fit Slightly Smaller Beautiful Shoe, all in all I am excited to get outside with this asap (just waiting on the weather to break in CO). Due to the extremely agressive downturn (much more so than the P3 tech im used to fron La Sportiva) I had to send back and get a 1/2 size larger than usual. Im so used to EU sizing with La Sport that I think I just lost my bearings when ordering climbing shoes in US Standard. I did end up buying for my lady though, her climbing style has changed dramatically for the better and I think its largely in part due to the agressive downturned nature that just forces you to climb with a higher IQ

Rated 4 out of 5 by Swag from A sexy and flexy shoe These shoes are about 1/2 size larger than the previous Hiangles. Most of the new space is in the toe box I think. The split sole allows for a noticable difference in flexibility and comfort, but decreases the "in shoe" tension on small slopey foot jibs (moonboard feet for example). They are very stylish too. I felt sexy wearing these puppies to the climbing gym. The back of the shoe seems to ride a little higher than the previous Hiangles, which is nice if you like yourself a shoe that has zero heel slippage. Overall a comfortable, high performance climbing shoe. I still use the previous Hiangle model on my projects because I think they perform slightly better without the split sole. Boone represent!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Karlton from Ruined my favorite shoe Bought my old Hiangle size Bought my old Hiangle size and another a size up. While the new strap and heel are pretty nice, the toe box is god awful. I was super excited for an update with a split sole and more heel coverage, but the fit of the front ruin it. It is pretty high volume, just like the new Dragons and has the same synthetic material that has zero perceivable give. The old Hiangles would slowly mold to your feet. The new toe hook patch seems smaller and also angled more sloping, which is the last thing the shoe needed. Thanks Adidas, another classic ruined.

Rated 5 out of 5 by N_11 from An Amazing update to a classic The v2 Hiangle were my go to climbing shoe, and thought this update was a great example of adding new features to a solid foundation. The split between the sole and heel allows for so much more flexibility (and pull), and the new heel is the best that Five Ten has ever put out. The toe box is a bit less pointed, but after getting used to it I was very comfortable using these on hard routes/boulders. You can fit these the same as the v2 Hiangles (You can also go a half size down if you prefer a tighter fit. Great job!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Cole R from Not for narrow feet I have exclusively climbed in the old hiangles for the past couple years and have bouldered V9 on all sort of different rock and styles of climbing. They were my perfect shoe, capable of everything. These new ones are a huge disappointment and give nowhere near the same fit or feel while climbing. The heel feels cumbersome and the toe box is very high volume and clunky. As far as sizing, I wear a US mens 9.5 street shoes and an 8.5 in the old hiangle. I went down to an 8 in the new ones and I still had a ton of dead space in the toe box.
