FIVE TEN HELLCAT PRO TLD MEN'S MOUNTAIN BIKE SHOE is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy and Rugged I have not had a chance to test these out long term. These are my first pair of clipless MTB shoes and so far I am very please with my purchase. I've owned a pair of 510 flat shoes that have lasted me a long time and was please with those. I could think of no other brand I could trust more when switching to clipless. Thankfully TLD teamed up with Adidas to make one rad shoe! I knew going with 510 I wouldn't have to wonder if they would fit as they are very similar to a skate shoe. I have used these shoes on a handful of rides now and am still satisfied with their performance on and off the bike. Going from flats (Free rider high top) to these I am most excited to have a sturdy toe box to combat the good fight of toes vs massive rocks. Yay (intact) toes! My ONLY critique's right off the bat is these shoes do run heavy without cleats, I didn't go as far as weighing them, but they're obviously heavier than flat shoes. It would be nice to make them a little easier to put on/remove, the laces, should you use all lace eyelets as I do for a secure fit, can be hard to undo after a long day in the saddle. I love that these have a lace velcro strap, but that could also have been made even more simple than having to feed the lace strap through the velcro attachment. I would love to see another team of up of TLD & Adidas and see if they could shave some weight off these. And the question on everyone's mind: Would I recommend these to my riding buds? Yes.
