Rated 3 out of 5 by retrogrl from Narrower fit, wish it had full dotty sole I needed a shoe that fit my narrow foot better than my regular Freeriders (which I'm always trying to sinch tighter, and are too big/wide in the toe). These Freerider Contacts are better in that regard--they are shorter and narrower. However, I dislike how the dotty sole doesn't cover the whole bottom on the shoe. There were limited choices in my size (9) and I wanted to run full flats with my new shoes so I had to choose this model. My feet don't feel as connected to my pedal as when I use the regular Freeriders. Bottom line I still haven't found my perfect shoe for running flats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jenna from Hands down the best shoe I've ever owned! : ) I'm a skydive and wind tunnel instructor. My shoes never hold up more than 6-12 months. I beat them up on landings and the high speed wind indoor/outdoor doesn't help either. Literally these are the best shoe I've ever owned. I usually wear mens because women's are too narrow, but this shoe fits amazing and is comfortable even all day. They are uniquely designed with substantial structure & fashion. Most shoes after getting wet loose shape in the front or look worn out & faded. These shoes barely look used. Grip is also incredible, which is important for many of my jobs & hobbies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jules316 from Super grippy! I decided to splurge and get myself these shoes hoping they would be worth the price tag. Well they certainly are! My feet stayed on the pedals when they would normally slip off continuously with other shoes. The rubber sole grips the pedals like glue. I was worried it would grip so much that I wouldn’t t be able to get my foot off or adjust my foot placement but they proved me wrong here too! Great mountain biking shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JWH rides from A return to flats I have been riding clipped in for the past 3 years and recently decided to go back to flats. One of the reasons that I quit riding flats was because of my feet slipping off the pedals and getting terrible pedal bites. The reason that I am going back is that I have fear of certain features while being clipped in. So, these shoes seem to hold onto the pedals really well, in fact you have to lift your foot to reposition the shoe on the pedal. I have completed four rides with them. (I did buy some soccer shin guards to prevent pedal bite while I am getting used to flats again. Looks a bit geeky but does the trick!) I always wear a size 9 and these size 9's seem to fit really well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Angie from Circulation I've had mine for 1 year! They stick to pedals as promised. I am willing to try another size up to deal with the only issue I have. Short distance rides (10-15 miles) are great! Long distance is another story- the poor circulation heats up my feet to the point of burning. It was suggested by salesperson at Seaotter Classic to replace insert with another. He felt my issue was the shape of my feet. Tried a new inserts with no success. Pretty bumbed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by wlmdjm12 from Good quality and price!! These shoes are amazing! I just started trail riding on my MTB and my husband got these for me. I’m EXTREMELY happy with them. They run a little bit small. I wear 8.5 and bought 8.5. They are a little snug, but I was afraid 9 might be too big and hoped they will stretch a little. Which they have. On long rides my feet are a little cramped, but not bad. And as I ride I think they will stretch/wear in a little more. Overall, I give these a 9.8 out of 10!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Men hkr from Good, but toes fall asleep Bought about 2 weeks ago; runs a smidge long - I wear an 7.5 usually in a running shoe, but went w/ the 8 due to reviews. Didn't return for a 7.5 because I thought it might be a smidge short! Fits well everywhere else, nice wide toe box and heel doesn't slip, so kept the 8. I've just switched from clipless and sole is nice and sticky. My only complaint and the reason I gave only 3 stars, is because my toes fall asleep after about 30 minutes. Will mess around with insoles to see if that helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by B daddy from Very reassuring grip I bought these for my wife, after my son and I both have been using these for several months, in all types of weather and mountain biking terrain. These shoes grip incredibly on the flat pedals and are good for walking when needed as well. They run true to size and are wide in the front, which is great for a full day of hard riding.
