Rated 4 out of 5 by Drink Coffee Climb Rocks from Its true what they're saying, they run large Most reviewers are saying these run a 1/2 size large. I would say they run 3/4 of a size large. I bought them in a size 10 and they are noticably larger than my access approach shoes with are size 10.5. I typcially were are 10 - 10.5 in approach shoes. I bought these to be more a casual shoe for cragging and around town, not a shoe I would actually climb anything in. I wanted to be able to slip it on and off with out untying. Normally with 5.10 shoes that would have meant a 10.5. I bought these in a 10 and still have some extra room. I probably could have gone 9.5 and still ended up with a shoe that fit the "casual approach shoe" bill. Other than that, they seem quite nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Levi565 from Sizing I bought this a month ago and I am happy with it. I was looking for a technical approach shoe with a wide range of functionality. I ordered my street size and the shoes were about a size bigger than expected. My next purchase I’ll downsize about a size and a half ex: 11-9.5. Because they’re a little bit to big they’re not my technical approach shoe, but they’re super stylish so I wear them around town and I work at a rock gym so they’re perfect for scrambling up the wall giving beta. Toe box also fits a little wide, but can be tightened down reasonably, from when I first put them on these shoes were super comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by arcejaeger from Casual Routesetting Shoe Sizing: It depends what you want to use it for. I wear a size 9 to 9 1/2 Nike and found the size 9 FiveTennie to be snug on the roof of my foot (due to the sock-like fit), but quite long around the toes. Feel: They're a mix between the Aescent and Guide Tennie. Definitely not as stiff as the Guide Tennie, but not as soft as the Aescent. The base of the shoe is 100% flat, so heel hooking is a no go. Edging seems feasible, but again my sizing was off so right now I can't edge on much. Look: They look like great casual shoes. Sleek and go well with any form of casual attire. No complaints there. Since I use these the most for routesetting, if I were to do it again I'd get the shoes tight enough so my toes are at least touching the front of the shoe so I can feel edging. Right now, they're definitely too big for that. Personally, I can't wait for a comfortable day-shoe that has some toe rubber and a semi-fitted heel for climbing in... No idea what that shoe would look like but I bet it would be a big hit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by NarthZader from Saw the other review, shoulda listened! The shoes are great! they look awesome and fit great. They run about a half size larger than other 5.10s At least the width feels snug true to size, but the length is a 1/2 big. I'm super stoked on the free returns guarantee so I can switch them out and get a size down quick!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pudge from Run 1/2 size big. I'm usually 9.5 in all Adidas Outdoor shoes. Got these in 9.5 but too big. Especially for an approach shoe. Otherwise, they seem awesome. Well made and I like the sock like fit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Avidclimber from 5.10 lost its soul The old guide tennies were awesome. These not so much. Cheaply made. Not near as comfortable as the old style. Definitely a Chinese product now

Rated 5 out of 5 by SteveD from My New Everyday Shoe I was hesistant to buy these shoes at first, as I didn’t want to pick up approach shoes that wouldn’t last long doing what I bought them for (scrambling, peak bagging). So far, not only have they shown to be super durable, but they are way sturdier than I had imagined. Although not advertised as particularly waterproof/water resistant, they have held up jogging through puddles without letting my feet get wet. The outside also dries pretty quickly. I feel they can replace just about any shoe in my collection, and look great while doing it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by pewpew from Great shoe but size down Really liking these shoes so far. In my opinion they are more comfortable out of the box than the Access line. The sole are very grippy on rock and the deeper lugs grip better on loose/muddy soil than the Access soles. My only real complaint is the sizing. I wear a US 10.5 in the Access so I bought the same size in these but they are at least a half size bigger. The corresponding Euro size is spot on at 44 2/3 but that wasn't on the website for reference before I bought these. If I'd seen that I would have bought a size 10. I still really like the shoes just wish they weren't so long.
