FIVE TEN ALEON MENS CLIMBING SHOE is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! These shoes are excellent! Ive been climbing for over 10 years, and have been a five ten fanboy for almost the entire time. I’ve gone through multiple pairs of the black team shoes, old dragons, and hiangles. Compared to those shoes, the toe box feels more aggressive and precise, the heel is deeper and fits way better, and are extremely easy to put on thanks to the elastic closure. Here’s some sizing info- Team- 8 Dragon-8 Street shoe (freerider/access)-8 Hi angle- 7.5 Alien- 7.5

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Design/TERRIBLE Construction I waited MONTHS for these to come out and man they are really really great shoes - however $200USD and < 3hrs of climbing (in the gym) the sole is peeling off of the toe rand. Day one and shoes are falling apart. I have never had this problem with any of the previous 6 pairs of FiveTen shoes I have owned/climbed in. Perhaps Adidas is working out some kinks? Also really bummed that a company with 21.9B EUR in sales (2018) makes the customer cover the shipping costs to get a product that falls apart after < 3hrs of use warrantied. Great design - TERRIBLE construction. Customer service is deplorable compared to other brands in the market (and I am a die hard FiveTen fan but...) might be time to migrate after this product/experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised I ordered the same size as hi angles and the fit is amazing. The heel fits better than any other 5.10 I have ever worn. Quality seems great. Took them to RMNP and was very happy with the precise toe and with the heel. Might not be my toe hooking shoe but i have yet to give them a real toe hook test

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very cool update for 5.10! The primeknit uppers are a great addition for this climbing shoe! Fit is similar to the Hiangle, but the upper material is uniquely stretchy and very easy to slide on/off, especially at the heel - and the heel fit feels suctioned-in and exact. Very pointed and precise toe. Sized at street shoe size.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost Great! Very excited to see new innovations, but I think this one fell a little short of greatness. Fans of the Dragon/Team/Hi-Angle/Blackwing will be a bit disappointed in the awkwardly wide toe box and heel that is way too easy to peel off your foot. The new materials are certainly lightweight and comfortable and the medium stiffness rubber is excellent. But it’s predecessors have set a high bar in functionality outside that the Aleon has trouble keeping up with. I would have a hard time not recommending the cheaper, better Teams/Hi-Angles over this one. Keep trying, Adidas Outdoor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow!! & Sizing info. Just got these and right out of the box I was impressed. They look awesome and the quality seems solid. Easy to slide my foot in (compared to other aggressive shoes) and they suctioned-cupped right on with the swoop noise and everything fell right into place. Definitely a different quality feel/ fit from previous 5.10 shoes. But mainly I wanted to leave a comment about SIZING. So, for me, I ordered the same size I am in the 5.10 Teams (black) and Vxi (green). I have been wearing size 9 in those shoes for years and was hoping the Aleon would run similar and they do. My street sneaker size (in Adidas) is 9.5. Hope this is helpful to anyone worried about what size to order without trying them on first. Other than that, I haven't out them to the climbing test yet, but will tomorrow. By they way they feel on my feet and messing around in my apartment on furniture, floor-wall trimming etc., they seem like they will edge incredible and pointy for precise pocket placements. Actually, they look like they have the best sharp point I have seen on a shoe in awhile. Those are my first impressions. I'll write another post climbing review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent shoe I’ve been waiting for the shoe for a long time. I am amazed how comfortable the shoe is. Of course the south rubber is sticky as always. So far for the last week it’s a great shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Comfortable! I was skeptical about the fit of this shoe. I knew it was going to have a more pointed toe and a slightly revamped heal cup. The changes from your typical 5.10 shoe are a great and very comfortable change. The toe is so good. Being super accurate with micro edges is so easy. I would say if you love the high angle, then drop a 1/2 size and try these sweet shoes.
