The only approach shoe in the world with Stealth® Mi6™ rubber outsoles which provides unbeatable friction, cushioning and feel, the Aescent is the ultimate all-around multi-sport approach shoe. The two-piece midsole provides a supportive platform for biking or climbing, while the split-grain leather and mesh upper allows the shoes to remain breathable.
FIVE TEN AESCENT MEN'S APPROACH SHOE is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adidas, PLEASE stop changing FIVE TEN style!!!! I have been wearing the FIVE TEN brand for years. I recently placed a pair of aescent with the new Adidas versions. They looked just like the original at first glance so I was happy about that but unfortunately Adidas got their hooks into them. Probably to save money they removed the rear tab at the top of the heal. It was great for pulling the shoes onto your heal, hanging up the shoes from a hook while at camp, and they just looked cooler with the tab on the back. In the end, I can live the shoe without it because I love the feel. Adidas, stop messing with an awesome brand. You are ruining a great line of shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’m praying they don’t discontinue these . . . I don’t like writing reviews, but I’m afraid Adidas will discontinue these shoes after acquiring 5.10 and I want to do what I can from preventing that. These shoes are exactly what I want in an Alaska biking/hiking/everyday shoe. I ride to work in them, wear them all day at the office, ride trails in the mountains, then ride to the bar at the end of the day and they’re perfect for all of that. I’ve love my 5.10 Freeriders, but these are an even better shoe for me. I’ve seriously considered buying another pair just to have in reserve when my first pair finally kicks the bucket.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No point of approach shoes without the rear loop.. Why did you stop marking the rear loop ? How are you supposed to hook your shoes to your harness while multipitch climbing ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True to size I love these shoes. Wear them commuting without looking like a skater shoe. Wish they didn’t discontinue these. This is my fourth pair. Very comfortable for all day walking and good grip on flat pedals I really like the navy colored ones but not available anymore

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5.10 grip Good grip on loose/steap terrain, but doesn’t seam as sticky as the old 5.10 rubber.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Addidoesnt Soles delam after 6mo. Way too hot, nolonger breathable. The medh is just for looks. Congrats to 5.10 on their aquisition, but too bad for the rest of us

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Super Soft They could use a heel tab to pull on as well as a molded plastic shank in the arch, the way the old Guide Tennies have. otherwise, they're sticky.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ruined I used to buy 5:10 shoes Now adidas has ruined them as they are now flashy and no longer practical not to mention over priced
