Rated 4 out of 5 by Karah from Great Travel Climbing Shoe I bought these for a climbing trip in Spain for approach/walking shoes. They work great if your approach is under 3 miles, I have noticed that they are not comfortable much after that, hiking shoes would be better of course. The bottom of the shoe is supper firm and allows for amazing grip if trying to approach a harder to access climb. I was able to do some low class 5's in these shoes. The low sides also allow for small gravel/rocks to sit in the area around the medial malleolus ankle bone, which is not fun to dig out of the shoe. But I love the fact that these are made of mesh and super lightweight, and also BLACK! You can barely find a woman's shoe in only black. Thank you Five Ten!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Christy from Well... I was excited to purchase these, but since receiving them I'm not so sure anymore. I like the aesthetic and color scheme, however, these run wide in the toe box for those with narrow feet like myself. I have worn a US 6/EU 36 in other Five Ten approach shoes but can slide a full finger between my foot and the back of the shoe. Not sure a US 5.5 would work better, as the toe end seems a bit painful to have your toes rub up against. I tried adding sole inserts, but that made them too tight in the archway. I settled on wearing thicker socks. Even still, when I hold these shoes in sunlight I can see light coming through the mesh upper and figure I'm going to get really dirty wearing these on the approach for ANY crag that consists of dusty, dirty trails. Not looking forward to that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Guidebarbie from Comfortable and lightweight I use these for hiking and guiding canyons in the desert and they are perfect for hiking on sandstone. They are light and comfortable even for long trips. I even love them as water shoes in wet canyons as they drain really well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by miller from Super comfy! I bought these a month ago as a new sneaker/hiking/various scampering shoe. It’s a little thin to run in, but a few miles every once in a while won’t kill you, and nice hiking shoes. Very stylish and can be worn pretty much everyday. I have super super wide feet so I was worried they wouldn’t fit but they were perfect, took a few walks before I was ready to run in them but I haven’t had any problems. Also the heel has tons of padding to suck your heel down into the shoe. Love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by julz99 from lightweight and comfortable! i was looking for a pair of approach shoes that are lightweight and less clunky than my current pair. i found these and ended up purchasing a pair. they’re super sticky on rocks as you would expect, and they were comfortable out of the box - i actually wore them on a 10.5 mile hike without breaking them in. i did size up half a size based on reviews, which i probably would not do if i were to buy another pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by izzyr from Good at it all! Bought this shoe with the intent to scramble, hike, mountain bike, kick around town and it does not disappoint. Love the legendary 5.10 sticky rubber for scrambling and but most of all mountain biking. They have the normal 5.10 fit and are soooo comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mtnrain from High quality and very functional I wear a 9 1/2 narrow and the style is true to size. It’s light, breathable and extremely well made. Although, my foot is narrow The lacking allows me to adjust the width. The heel counter is so well engineered that sliding the shoe on and off make it the perfect all around approach shoe. The rubber sole is great for the slick rock approaches in the area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sarah567 from Lightweight and grippy! Really impressed with these. They are much more lightweight than most approach shoes and have all the grip you need. Theyre not quite as technical as some more 'classic' models but for me this is exactly what I needed. I've been able to climb a few 5.8s in these and they feel super secure and comfy. I want to wear them all the time!
