Rated 3 out of 5 by Jakerush from Breathable all around shoe, runs small I've been wanting to buy a pair of these for a while and finally made the leap. I've only had them for a week but love these as I can wear them to work. The only problem is they do run a bit small. I typically wear a size 10.5 but sometimes even that feels too big in Adidas shoes and a size 10 in Adidas can feel too small on my right foot that must be a tad bigger. I'd read that these run a bit smaller and so I was hoping the 10.5 would fit, but it is similar to an Adidas size 10. I'm hoping I can use a shoe stretcher to stretch the right shoe enough so it doesn't cause pain in my big toe. I would recommend ordering a half size up from your normal size. If the shoe was a tad bigger I would have rated this 5 stars

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ian K from Access. One of the best allround approach shoes. Let me start off by saying that the Access Knit is an amazing shoe. I tried it on and they hug your foot and breathe nicely. I just wish that I could get a pair that fits me comfortably. The sizing is off. You would need to half size up. However I would like to share my experience that I have had with the Five Ten Access Leather / Carbon / US13.5 which is built off a similar platform to that of the Knit. I have been wearing my Access Leather since December 2016 and they are my favorite go to shoes that I use for daily dog walks, 3-4 mile runs and at least 8 mile bike rides in the city and on trails. I also use these in Winter conditions on slippery side walks and they have proven to hold fast and kept my feet and toes warm. I honestly have not used these in any climbing or scrambling conditions but I would like to think that the shoe would offer some degree of functionality in these activities. The Stealth rubber sole has worn extremely well. The laces and lacing system still holds the shoe firmly. The inner sole has held up and there are no holes at friction points like where the heel and ball of foot exert pressure. The material has flattened in those areas but still offers cushioning. The leather suede leather upper has stretched out a little but no holes, creases or over wrinkling has formed. They still feel solid and comfortable and still love to wear them every day. Originally I did have the same problem with sizing as most people have had in the past. I had to order a half size up. And then the same issue with sizing when I bought the Access Mesh and then the Access Knit. Both times I had to return them because 13.5 or 14 was not available in both versions. Currently the Access Knit is not available in any size above 13. My conclusion: It's by far one of the best quality and most versatile outdoor shoes for the money. The design and technology has clearly been carefully considered by experienced professionals who live and breathe how outdoor gear functions in various outdoor sports such as hiking, running, climbing and biking. My only hope is that Adidas continues to make this model and improve on it, especially the sizing ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by PNWUser from Comfy and Durable Wore these shoes for everything from around town walking, bike commuting, hiking, strenuous climbing approaches, with the toughest use being a summit of Mt. Thielsen in OR. These shoes have lasted about a year and a half essentially of practically non-stop use (probably could have used another insole based on mileage I've put on them). Re-ordering because the sole is now worn through in small spots. I was originally worried the mesh would not be durable but the only issue I've had, which is somewhat expected through the use, is the joint of my big toe protrudes a bit and that was the first spot to wear through. Have worn with a small hole in the mesh for the last month with no spreading so consider that a win.

Rated 5 out of 5 by melee757 from Summer Go To Shoe Love the comfort and breathability of the knit upper. As always, the Stealth Rubber sole can't be beat for grip and stability. One improvement I'd like to see is a little more "cupping" around the shoe bed to keep your foot secure on those sidehill areas. It seems that the knit upper gives slightly in lateral situations and has a feeling of beginning to slide off the shoe. However, I still love them and haven't had this pose any great problem.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kaney West from Disappointed in the new model I previously owned the Access Leather and they were fantastic - durable, comfortable, perfect fit. Since they discontinued the leather model, I bought the knit. First, I hate that these have no tongue. There is nothing on the upper to help cinch down and hold my foot from sliding forward and jamming my toes against the front of the shoe on steep downhill sections. I'm also not optimistic about the upper holding up in the desert. Everything is sharp in the Southwest, the sand is fine, the uppers are never going to hold up...

Rated 4 out of 5 by BartBoy from A wonderful all around shoe I was in need of a stylish but practical all black shoe, something I could wear on a hike and to work that was a bit more durable than your average running sneaker. These fit the bill, I've worn them to work and they go with a casual outfit, ive also taken them camping instead of a normal hiking boot. The bottoms are super durable and grippy, and the top knit design allows for breathability and comfort. Here are the downsides The knit design is great but they do acquire a lot of fine dirt and sand in the shoe, so if you're hiking in a very sandy area except the need to knock it out of the shoe at the end of the day. about to weeks in there started a sharp pain in my left foot, like a rock was stuck in my shoe. Taking the shoe off there was no rock and the problem persisted all day. I haven't worn them since then, but do intend to continue wearing them. Overall a really good shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Max Y from PLEASE BRING THESE BACK!! These are the best hiking/rock scramble shoes I've owned. Don't know why they were discontinued, but I would stock up on a couple pairs if I could find them in my size. I've been wearing them about every weekend for over a year and there's enough wear on them that I would get a new pair, but I'm still getting use out of my first pair. The grip is amazing, it's like having lizard grip on rocks. They've definitely saved my footing in some questionable situations. The shoes themselves are very lightweight with great support for such a thin sole. I never feel pebbles, gravel, etc poking through the sole. Feels very natural and fits like a glove. Aestheticly - I hate a colorful shoe, and I will look extensively for a shoe without a highlighter color accent or some chartreuse gradient (insert athletic shoes trend here). This shoe is the perfect combo for me: understated simple sleak design, comfortable natural feel, technically perfect. Please bring these back, and don't change a thing!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by jozzer2496 from Yea super and super breathable Absolutely love these shoes. Been through 5 pairs, shows how much I love them. Ordering a half size up will provide a snug fit which I prefer. Otherwise order a full size up. Sizing is way off but the shoe is absolutely killer. and the knit its even better than the regular access mesh.
