Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome shoe just the best shoe available for riding flat pedals. it's just that simple. these are the best. note that sizing is different from older shoes. If you were riding the original free riders, for example in size 8.5, you will want to size these up to 9 or maybe even 9.5

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's No Freerider Contact Though industry reviews on this shoe are generally positive, I'm a little disappointed. They're a bit stiffer than the Contacts which they were supposed to replace, but at the cost of an extra two or three millimeters of stack height. Fit at heel is less secure, and based on measurements of Pro vs Contact insoles, the back half of the Pro is a bit wider. Laces on Contact are positioned slightly further forward and the split structure of first two eyelets allows for a snugger lacing. Narrow feet beware. Between the bulkier/roomier fit and the irregular tread, fine edging control suffers in the Pros. The nonsmooth tread also makes repositioning slightly more difficult. Lengthwise, sizing is the same, as is forefoot width, though the Pro is higher volume in forefoot and bunches up more when foot articulates at ball. If I had it to do over again, I'd choose Contact without hesitation for the lower stack height, racier fit, and finer control at pedal. Supposedly the Pros are going to last longer, but as they've only been worn for six hours, this remains to be seen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grip for days I can’t believe the amount of grip these shoes have, they are unbelievable. I would recommend going up a half size from what you would typically buy from any athletic shoe. They are chunky and with the toe protection, that extra room feels a lot better than cramming your toes against the stiff toe cap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable Comfort and Traction Instantly felt right at home in these shoes. Break in time was minimal and they were really easy to get used to. The comfort of the shoe is great, even in the initial step-in. Traction is unreal, these things are like glue!
