Rated 3 out of 5 by from Narrower fit, wish it had full dotty sole I needed a shoe that fit my narrow foot better than my regular Freeriders (which I'm always trying to sinch tighter, and are too big/wide in the toe). These Freerider Contacts are better in that regard--they are shorter and narrower. However, I dislike how the dotty sole doesn't cover the whole bottom on the shoe. There were limited choices in my size (9) and I wanted to run full flats with my new shoes so I had to choose this model. My feet don't feel as connected to my pedal as when I use the regular Freeriders. Bottom line I still haven't found my perfect shoe for running flats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super grippy! I decided to splurge and get myself these shoes hoping they would be worth the price tag. Well they certainly are! My feet stayed on the pedals when they would normally slip off continuously with other shoes. The rubber sole grips the pedals like glue. I was worried it would grip so much that I wouldn’t t be able to get my foot off or adjust my foot placement but they proved me wrong here too! Great mountain biking shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great contact I've only rode with these once so far but my first experience out with them were excellent. They do stick to the pedals and I ordered an 8.5 which just fit. In normally where between an 8 and an 8.5 depending on manufacturer. They have a good stiffness to them and seemed to stay put on my first ride with them. Looking forward to using them again this weekend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very reassuring grip I bought these for my wife, after my son and I both have been using these for several months, in all types of weather and mountain biking terrain. These shoes grip incredibly on the flat pedals and are good for walking when needed as well. They run true to size and are wide in the front, which is great for a full day of hard riding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Circulation I've had mine for 1 year! They stick to pedals as promised. I am willing to try another size up to deal with the only issue I have. Short distance rides (10-15 miles) are great! Long distance is another story- the poor circulation heats up my feet to the point of burning. It was suggested by salesperson at Seaotter Classic to replace insert with another. He felt my issue was the shape of my feet. Tried a new inserts with no success. Pretty bumbed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs small (and wide) This pair so far is not as comfortable as my Freerider Pro shoes. I've ridden in them twice. I hope the toe stretches out some because my toes were starting to cramp. I would recommend maybe going up a half-size on these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second pair I really like how these shoes fit. I went up one size I normally wear because my feet swell up a bit. I have room for that. These shoes keep my feet cool in the summer (TX) and pretty warm during the winter. The soles when wet get tacky so I don’t slip. The first pair (2 yrs old) the thread was coming out on the top. Had them for a while like that before getting a new pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Grip! This is my second pair of Freerider Contact's and I really like how grippy and sticky the soles are. The definitely allow me to push and explore my riding limits much more than being clipped in ever would. In fact, after a decade of riding clipped in, I am now on flats 100% of the time. Highly recommended!
