Rated 1 out of 5 by Steezyflee from Horrible durability These shoes are great if you’re only planning on wearing them once or twice. They have good ankle support for being a low top shoe, the soles are super grippy with flat pedals, everything you want in a good mtn bike flat pedal shoe except for the longevity in materials. After the first couple rides I had wore through the soles of the shoe and had chunks flapping off. After a month of riding them I can now see through the sole into the guts and the hard plastic siding is now unmatched and dangles. Good shoe but poor construction and too soft of materials especially for the price tag.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ryno from Great Grip, Disgusting Durability Like the other reviews, this shoe would be great except for the fact that it doesn't last at all. The rubber isn't durable enough and the stitching on the toe should wrap all the way around the sole like the original freerider shoe. Why make a shoe with the thinnest and least durable section under the arch of the shoe where the pedal contacts the shoe the most? This would have a five star review it could event last a single season without completely falling apart.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Boom from Great fit and grip, very poor durability. After only 2 rides I had holes in the soles, and after half a season of light riding the middle of the sole had separated from the shoe. And the sole is now at a point where I can see the inside materials of the shoes. They're holding together, but barely. For a higher priced shoe I expect decent durability. Especially for someone who only rides at most once a week.

Rated 3 out of 5 by nodnarb from Excellent grip, fits way too small I haven't had a problem with durability at all with these. I've only ridden 100 miles or so in them though. The grip is amazing. The problem I have is with sizing and fit. I bought size 10.5 because that is what I wear in virtually every shoe, whether it's Adidas Maduros, Nike basketball shoes, New Balance running shoes, dress shoes. The only time I wear a size other than 10.5 is for slip on casual shoes and I will get a 10 because my feet are narrow and they fit better. The Freeriders immediately gave me numbness in my toes and hot spots in my arches. I love the grip, but I hate wearing these now. I'm about to go back to super cheap flat generic skate shoes until I can find something with similar grip but a better overal riding feel. Every ride I go on I deal with either numbness or hot spots and usually both. Feeling fatigue in your feet from your shoes really ruins a ride.

Rated 2 out of 5 by canuck from Great shoe , not that durable as with many of the other review on here i'm stoked with the performance. They my second pair of Fiveten bike shoes (and not my last) but these are no where near as durable as the first pair after about 15 rides the grip is finished and separating from the mid sole .... even so ill likely buy another pair. Its just a shame to have to purchase new shoes each season when the upper is totally fine ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by Merlin from Nice shoe/Great price I use 5/10’s exclusively for riding and the Freerider at $120 is a good price and by signing up for the email blasts I was able to score another $20 off making for a very nice deal. I was already using a pair of Impacts and I find the freeriders to be tackier and lighter which are both pluses for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by aziator from Best shoe for flats! This shoe is perfect for all mountain riding. Feet stick to the pedals, has just the right amount of stiffness in the foot bed. I will be ordering another pair to mix up the colors. You can't go wrong with this shoe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Todd in Colorado from Great shoe for mountain biking I really like this shoe for mountain biking. It is super sticky on flat pedals and is good on the ground when hiking the bike.
