  • A highly shock absorbent and durable foam material which absorbs impact forces and reduce the general pressure on your bone system and protecting them from injuries.
  • Ortholite insoles provide the highest quality and comfortable shoe insoles to support the unique structure of the human foot. Through advanced proprietary technology, Ortholite's polyurethane and recycled rubber-based formula holds the distinction of being the only open cell foam insole combining long-lasting cushioning, breathability and durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Approach Shoe! I have worn the Scopes for three seasons of long talus slope approaches with a 30-40 lb pack of climbing gear all over Utah, Colorado and Wyoming. The rubber on the sole is sticky enough and stiff enough for more technical approaches. They are super comfortable and, despite all sorts of challenging terrain, I haven't managed to do more damage than break a few laces. I am a 6-6.5 and the 6 in these is almost a bit big, so if you are between sizes you might want to size down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good. Stealth sole was truly helpful. Have only gone on one hike with some Class 3 scrambling routes and the Stealth sole kept me "secure" on the sandstone. The fit was great, even though it was a half-size larger (I purposely ordered this size) since I have wide feet and the toe box was perfect. Laces stayed put, and

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing These run really large. I'm normally an 8/8.5 and I had to order a 7.5 which is slightly loose. Otherwise, they are great! I've used them to set up ropes at work (I work at a climbing gym) and they were sturdy. One weird thing is the tongue is a foamy stiff material that takes a little getting used to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The shoes I've been waiting for!!! I've tried a couple other very good brand shoes but they just didn't do the trick; they just didn't feel right. These shoes not only look good on my foot but most importantly fit them amazingly. I am very confident with every step I take in them bc I don't feel like I'll slip and know they're tough enough to take whatever environment I'm walking in. Very high quality!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough Stuff I bought these to do some lava hiking at Volcano National Park. The terrain is tough. The lava rocks have sharp edges, slick slopes and lots of cracks to navigate. These shoes were perfect. They have a really tough toe and great traction too. I haven't tested the Gortex yet, but I am sure they will do great in wet conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING! These shoes are by far my favorite pair of approach shoes. The sole is stiff and the rubber is incredibly sticky. They look practically new even with all the use and abuse! They keep my feet dry and comfortable on long approaches, river crossings, steep rocky slopes, and scrambling.
