Technologies

  • Quantum is light and strong offering a significant weight reduction without sacrificing strength and abrasion resistance. The fabric's softness allows insulation in jacket to have more loft.
  • Polartec Alpha® was developed to solve the issues surrounding inconsistent breathability and overheating of insulation during highly aerobic activities. The highly stable insulation allows for the use of more open and breathable fabrics on the outer and inner layers, while still providing active warmth and comfort in dynamic activities in cold, wet, and windy weather.
Agravic Alpha Shield Hoodie is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good Jacket/ Poor Customer Service I wore this jacket for 2 weeks. It has nice features and performs well. The insulation is placed around the core of one's body, while the hood and sleeves are a single thin layer of nylon. Great for high movement activities. Although the garment care tags state it is machine washable/ tumble dry safe, I would only hand wash my jacket out of fear of damaging it at first. No problems, but on my first try of machine washing and drying, one of the sleeves had a rip/ melt in it. Contacted adidas customer service a week ago and have not heard back. Hoping that some warranty exists for a 2 week old $150 jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprisingly Breathable I've got a couple of different layers in this category but the agravic hoodie has become my go to for cooler weather activities. The jacket is light weight and has just a small amount of Primaloft for a little warmth through the core. I was totally surprised by the breathability which is what sets this guy apart; the stretchy back panel breaths nicely and makes the jacket a great fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight for high output activities I've been using this jacket while guiding backcountry ski touring in the high mountains of Colorado this winter. It is an excellent outer layer for using when skinning or other high output heat inducing activities in windy and chilly environments, offering excellent breathability coupled with great wind blocking features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This jacket is great for any activity. As a base layer for high output activities, or for a night out, this jacket does it all. It is surprisingly warm and is light weight at the same time. I was using an older skyclimb jacket and the agravic alpha shield provides the same warmth in a lighter and more packable jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect weight From cold, harsh winds to snow, it's just the right weight-to-protection ratio. Easily packable and storable. The zippers are nice, too – they don't freeze up in the cold, or come undone unexpectedly.
